And, yeah, too bad he says so days before he quit the governement because he was sacked.

What stops you from becoming Israeli PM? You look pretty Jewish to me, work a bit on your French accent and you are fit. Like anyone else who have no idea how to lead a country but still wants to try.

Well,... there are some jews which I met in the real life, who thought I was jewish or, to be more exact (they are jews themselves you know) that I *might* be jewish or who are wondering whether I'm jewish. Yes.
But I'm not the typical "jewish type", had I to be jew, I would be the north european with heavily mixed blood, one. I couldn't pass for the president of Israel, realy.
And it's even more surprising that nobody in my family as far as our genialogic tree goes, has ever been jewish... or from another non european christian catholic religion.

But you are right, the appearance is not what matters. Look Dayan looks like a typical story-book jew and he is a christian american of armenian descent. :D

I was not aware Israel's former prime minister was so progressive in his foreign policy. You normally associate that position with ruthless Zionism.

Maybe I could become the new prime minister. I'm totally Jewish  (though not a practicing Jew by any means).

that's the cycle of Israeli politicians. During the election they scream "This is our God-given land, so fck the Arabs! Forget the 1967 boundary!". When in power, they say "Guys, we really have to dismantle some outposts and get out of some areas. But surely, not to the point of the 1967 border". And when they go, they sigh "Eh...What we need is the 1967 border.."

Isn't it cute that OBama is more hawkish on the Jerusalem issue than the former Likudnik Olmert? Olmert says we need to divide it, Obama insists - "undivided capital of Israel".
