Its the nail in the coffin of any semblance of credibility that the Olympic Games and Athletics ever had.  >:(

Athletics is still better than cycling. Maybe it's time to return to the standards of ancient Olympic games, when all substances were allowed.

Everybody is getting caught in every sport. I wrote something about it in my blog (shameless promotion), and how it's good that people actually expect the best to be juiced up.

Seriously, was there any doubt?

Not from my view. CJ Hunter was caught, so it stood to reason about Marion Jones. No surprise there.

The sad part for me is that the only way we knew was because of the court case, and her being forced to admit to it. Imagine all the drug tests that she took that came up negative. Which shows how far behind the drug tests are. As soon as they catch up to being able to detect some growth hormone drug, the new drug has already been invented. It is always a catch up process.

I am not saying that all olympians are on the juice. I just think that the general public will perceive that they are. And even if a clean athlete breaks records or puts in a superb performance, the general public will disbelieve them. It is sad in a way. The innocent are punished and the guilty get off scott free, apart from a few exceptions.
