I made a reply to eBunny in the thread "I've come to offer my services", then I clicked modify and save and the reply was gone  ???

I tested the modify button again in another thread and it worked. Strange  ???

Cedar I see that you are to have the last post in this (http://stage2.itsallpolitics.com/forum/index.php?topic=50.0) topic but your post is MIA.  I have asked chovy to take a look at it and have also locked the topic so that he can see what happened better.

modify works fine for me but once i had a problem,,, maybe Cedar just missed it,,,

i was modifying my posts, meanwhile Akh posted something below,,, i couldn't save it,,, got some error that post was not last or someshite like that,,, this could be reason,,,



on bit more technical language,,,
Cedar's mysql insert db query done with error thus you her nickname appear where there is no actual post
or
Cedar used some character that cannot be selected from database to hack the site,,, which is less possible even though her roots in Binladenland,,, she is far from being a web terrorist,,,


solution,,, well Joomla and SMF together are great tools for creating community but these made by students and not a commercial organization, each error can cause heavy chain of errors especially when some person or group integrated both application... it's quite advanced thing they done,,, so nothing to worry and nothing can be done TBH

i'm quite sure Chovy installed Joomla and SMF in it as written in tutorials,,, sometimes such glitches happen with Open Source Software,,,,

Cedar has a story about Joomla's "parent" Mambo to tell you,,,

Here is what I did:

I posted a reply, then I noticed there was a word missing in the sentence. So I clicked on the quick edit below the post, then changed my mind and decided to use the modify button instead. So I hit the back button then clicked modify, added a word and then clicked save. That's all. The reply was gone but it still states that I made the last post in the thread.

Pretty much the same thing happened here. I made a reply, was told someone else made one, posted mine anyway... but the reply was gobe.

It said I made the last post... but the post itself is gone.

I opened a thread in the ME forum and clicked post, the thread didn't appear. Then I opened it again, and still it doesnt show.
So no we see the nymber of topics in the ME forum is 5 whereas it is actually 3  ???

I just tried to open the thread for the third time and still nothing  ???

Is there a limit to the number of threads we can open as a protection against spam?

I'm having the same problem. I tried to start a new thread in the U.S. Forum. I hit post, and it says there were two threads, but when I opened the forum, it was just one. I tried again, and now it's telling me that there are three threads, where only one is visible when you go into the U.S. Forum.

It also tells me that I have two posts, neither of which will show up.

This is weird. If you go to the Greenspan thread (the only one in the U.S. Forum, and hit next, my title will come up, and when
I went to reply, the body of the text is still there, complete with picture.

If they show up, I have two different threads. Mods can feel free to delete the one with the misspelling in the title. :-[

alright I see prostituteJane AKA easterbunny  brought up a point in the fatal error line 330.  Are you logging in at the home page or the forum page?  If home page please log out and log in at the forum page and try again.

I got the same message when logging in from the homepage. I logged off, and logged in from the login tab along the top of the forum page, and couldn't get the new thread to show up. I logged of and tried logging in using the button (top left corner) on the forum index page. I still couldn't get the new thread to show up. Then I tried logging off, then going to the US forum page, then logging in from that page using the in the upper left corner of the page. Still no new thread.

It's telling me I'm logged in, I can post in threads other people start, but I can't get one to show up. From the index page, it lists something like six topics in the US section, but only one appears on the US page. You can see a line with the topic titles by clicking "next" while looking at the Greenspan thread. There are about five of these. From the last topic on the ME page, clicking "next" will show you a topic title that doesn't appear in the list of topics on the ME page. I think it's the thread CedarPride was talking about trying to start.

Is there a glitch with my login maybe?

Any suggestions?

interesting when I hit the reply button I can see the missing posts.  Yet they are NOT viewable with in the thread itself.

Oddly enough it didn't register it with in the thread itself.

I can see my last post here ("can you see my posts"), but not the "sorry, double post" or the one before it without "sorry, double post".

A search for "alaska" will show you the post from the thread I tried to start. All six versions from where I kept retrying it. It's on here somewhere, it's just not showing up.

Yep. Post count of 9, but only 8 show up.

I lost one, too.  It was there when I logged off, but now it's not ????? 8)

Also, it could just be my old computer, but AIP 2.0 seems noticeably slower today.

Maybe it's the surge of registrations? I have no idea.

It seems to make sense that more data to sift through would mean more time to sift through the data.

Well it's moving faster now. Much faster... so it may have been the number of registrations.

I noticed I had two "ghost posts",

I opened a thread in the literature forum, hit post.  Looking at the forum, it said on topic, one post, but when you entered the forum, nothing. 

I also made a reply on a thread ( The Iran thread in ME I think) and the thread said gomber7 was the last poster, but when you looked in the thread, no post from me.

ALSO, when I looked at my profile, and went to look at all posts, at the time it said I had 6 total posts, but would only show 4 under the show all posts....


Strange...

I have two ghost posts in cos' thread "hello". It's the same post posted twice. They appear if you hit reply, but don't show when you just click on the thread.

I haven't had this problem since day 1  :(

happened to me the other day, just asked their forums about it tonight.

I have had a few replies that was not shown in the thread but can still be viewed when reply is hit...

Glitch much?
