Title: IAP 1.0 Post by: neorealist on September 15, 2007, 10:44:40 PM http://archive.itsallpolitics.com/
for all of you that need to access old threads and posts here is the original. Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: chovy on September 15, 2007, 11:49:04 PM It will eventually be closed for posting, so please try to migrate over to the new version soon.
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Fredledingue on September 16, 2007, 09:28:38 AM Will the archives from IAP 1.0 be moved to 2.0?
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: chovy on September 16, 2007, 09:33:06 AM nope
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Fredledingue on September 16, 2007, 09:47:14 AM So we have to move the topics or our last replies ourself if we want to continue a conversation. :(
When the archives will be deleted? Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Patton on September 16, 2007, 10:23:33 AM Is there a way to move an entire thread?
I would like to bring Silver Linings' Obit here. Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: targo88 on September 16, 2007, 10:35:03 AM I don't think we can do that..... but yes that thread would be nice to have here. You'll have to ask chovy specifically about that please
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: chovy on September 16, 2007, 03:05:24 PM You can split a thread...even choose which posts you want to include in the split -- nice feature, I did it earlier in the Logo Contest vs. Forum Software discussion.
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Jabato on September 17, 2007, 12:54:46 AM I'm back from my holidays and I got this surprise.
I've had some problems to log in but I hope it works. Saludos Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Patton on September 17, 2007, 10:37:07 AM You can split a thread...even choose which posts you want to include in the split -- nice feature, I did it earlier in the Logo Contest vs. Forum Software discussion. We can split from IAP 1.0 to here? I went over to try and it looks the same as before...I can select a forum to move the split to...but won't that stay in IAP 1.0? Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: chovy on September 17, 2007, 11:40:36 AM yes...they are totally seperate. The only way to *move* a post from 1.0 to 2.0 is to copy-n-paste it (which I don't recommend).

Thanks Neo! :) Warm regards Terry Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Cabrini Green on October 07, 2007, 08:43:35 PM crazy!

Or export the table in mySQL and import it int this DB. Messy, and will require some small amount of fiddleing but it can be done. Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: 14-years-old-jane on October 11, 2007, 10:12:06 AM it's easy for person who knows a bit SQL,,, but little bit time consuming since phpBB has much tables and columns...
you run loop that reads(select) from from old tables and write(insert) to new ones,,, previously non existent tables or/and columns can receive default value or something like that,,, it's really silly and easy task better tell me how to create proper algorithm for stored procedure so i can imitate 1/100 of google's search internal crawler,,,, but you not the right lad to ask such question coz i will end up with java that xss'es via backdoor mirror,,, Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Rachel on October 14, 2007, 03:07:04 PM You lost me after "it's easy." ???
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: chovy on October 20, 2007, 12:10:14 AM it is only easy if the person has a single-pane window, and you throw a rock at it...

it is only easy if the person has a single-pane window, and you throw a rock at it... Not much fun in a glass house is it, Mr. Chovy? :o ;D Regards Terry . Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: 14-years-old-jane on October 20, 2007, 01:14:24 AM again it is easy for person who knows a bit SQL,,, not just person who can install Joomla
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Greyhound on November 21, 2007, 06:06:26 PM I know this is an old topic but there is a converter to move from phpbb2 to SMF 1.1. I did it and works fine and it is very easy.
The converter is found here Clicky Linky (http://www.simplemachines.org/download/?converters). Just scroll down and look for the phpbb2 converter. Although you'll probably not want to do it now since it would mimik the old database and you would lose all posts on the new forum. Just thought I'd let you know for future reference if you needed it. I also see that you've bridged the database with Joomla. I've heard that support for these bridges is going away. If you need to move away from Joomla for whatever reason Tiny Portal for SMF actually works well as a CMS. Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Biker Dude on February 04, 2008, 09:53:35 PM IAP 1.0 has been shut down entirely as the only people posting there were porn spam bots.
Title: Re: IAP 1.0 Post by: Abraxas on February 17, 2008, 03:28:34 AM Well... there goes ONE source for new pictures of naked women...
