Obama is destroying himself ..... And he's getting a lot of help from his "spiritual advisors" and backers (The Black Panthers). I thought Obama wanted to "bring the people together" .... Instead, it seems to me, that he and his "company" has CAUSED MORE of a racial divide in the last 2 weeks than a lot of people have seen in a long long time. I don't know if there's anything that he can do now to stop his free-fall!!!.....He's got big problems!!!
The Black Panthers?!?! Where do you get this shit?? A few days ago you cut and paste a totally bogus and slanderous e-mail attacking Obama. And when several people called you on it and provided proof that the e-mail was a bunch of lies you claimed you were testing us. My memory of you attacking Clinton in a similar way you couldn't defend 6 months or so back made me think you were full of it. But since I didn't actually have any proof of this I decided to keep my mouth shut. But now that you have come up with this equally slanderous line about the Black Panthers backing Obama I have to think my original suspicion was correct. Sorry Risinghigh.... I am beginning to think you are just another right winger who will say anything to push you political agenda. Now you can ignore me like you usually do or you can explain how that even if this is true then what does this prove about Obama? And keep in mind that if the KKK was to back McCain it would not prove that he is racist. Well, where do I start. First of all I don't "ignore" you. Oh really? Are you not the same Risinghigh that put me on her "ignore list" and then encouraged others to do the same back on IAP 1.0? I didn't even know there was an "ignore list", but thanks for telling me....I'll be sure to add you to it!! Secondly, I've never cut & paste ANYTHING about Clinton. Have I said things about her, yes ..... I've said from the beginning that I HATE the woman. I never said you cut and paste anything about Hillary. I was talking about you making claims about Clinton that you could not back up with proof. My point was that some of your comments about Hillary were false just like much of the content of that Obama bashing e-mail was false. Please provide the "false claims" that I've EVER made against Hiliary!! Third, the New Black Panthers Party did have their endorsement on Obama's Campaign Website ..... BUT, the day after Barack gave his "Racial Speech", Obama's spokesman, Tommy Vietor issued a statement rejecting The Black Panther's endorsement, and he said their endorsement was removed from Obama's Campaign Website!!! Now, I don't know where you've been, but this has been all over the internet and blogosphere for the past few days. It's not my fault that you don't take the time to READ. Do you realize that the content of that part of Obama's site is user provided? Do you understand that Obama was not advertising the Black Panthers endorsement like you want every one to think. And No... this has not been all over the internet. This has been mostly on a few right wing slander websites and FOX. And normally I would have heard about something like this from right wing radio, but I haven't been able to listen very much lately. If you read my original post I never said that Obama was "advertising" the Black Panthers endorsement. I said "backers (The Black Panthers)". I didn't bring up the fact that their endorsement was on Obama's Campaign Website UNTIL you questioned it's legitimacy. And, actually, even when you questioned their endorsement, I explained to you that Obama's spokesman issued a statment "rejecting" The Black Panthers endorsement. So I wasn't trying to SPIN IT AT ALL!!! BUT the fact remains that the Black Panthers do "back" Obama. BTW, this was on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, one of the local news channels (can't remember which one), the main AOL Forum (which has both, Conservatives and Liberals), etc.etc. So, it wasn't just "right-wing slander". Lastly, again, the only reason I posted that thing the other day about Obama was because it was running wild through the internet. You guys wonder why Obama's numbers are free-falling so fast ..... I showed you!! Well... like I was trying to say before... I don't believe you. You trashed Clinton back when she was the front runner and now that Obama is in the lead you are trashing him. And I know why Obama's numbers are falling lately. Its because of conservatives like you who constantly repeat anything that makes Obama look bad no matter if it is true or not. I could care less whether you believe me or not. Trust me, no tears shed!!! Yes, I dissed Clinton, because like I've said many many times, I HATE THE WOMAN. BUT, please show me polls that show that "Obama is in the lead", as you say. It seems to me that by making a statement like that, that you are the one that shouldn't be believed!!! BTW, I'm not a conservative....I'm more of an Independent....And if you can remember me so well, as you claim, then you would know that!!! Actually, I used to be strictly Democrat (I even voted for Gore), but now I see things differently, and now I vote for who I think is the best person for the job!!!If you don't like my post, then please don't read them!!!!!!!!! Sorry... I'm not here to ignore posts that I don't like. I come here to debate people who I disagree with. So... If you want to just repeat right wing talking points without getting called on it then go to a conservative forum where they ban all the liberals. That way you don't have to deal with having any of your beliefs and opinions challenged. It's good that you debate people, but you really shouldn't call people liars when you have absolutely NO IDEA of someone's intentions. Just like in my first post .... I didn't title it (or say) "Look at this about Obama", instead I said "This is what's going around the internet about Obama".....And do you know WHY I said that???....It's because that's what was going around the internet about Obama!!! Period!!! BUT, what do you do, call me a liar about why I posted it in this forum! I mean, if something is going around the internet about McCain, I'd want to know about it.
Are you sure that you're not the one with a "political agenda"

http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=65704Look Obama just called him Grandmother a typical white person because she is a racist that does not trust black men in the street. Imagine if McCain or Clinton called someone that mugs "typical white people" as a Typical black person... lololol This guy is imploding faster then Dean in 2004. Obama is destroying himself ..... Does anyone know where one might find on the web the full sermons that the controversial comments were in? A little context would be nice.
OswaldTheOsprey
Google "Sweetness & Light". It shows a lot of the sermons. You probably won't like the website though.........It's a very conservative website! Anyway, I do think Obama kind of busted himself today. He has, for the past week, said that he had never heard Wright say any negative remarks about America or racial divide, but yet today, Obama definately changed his tone, and changed his story. I'm sure he knew that it would come out that he was present when Wright was spewing his hatred and racism (there's actually a little snippet of Obama at the church during Wright's Christmas sermon.....and that's one of the sermons that Wright went off on one of his rampages). Obama is going to continue to have problems because of this, and I think it has seriously diminished his chance of becoming President. The polls already show that his speech didn't help him (64%), and even in some polls it shows that people think his speech made it WORSE for him (67%).

Well, illy, that should close the matter, but knowing the stupidity out there it probably will not.
OswaldTheOsprey
This is the second time I've come across a chain letter on the internet that says "it's true, check it out on snopes.com" where snopes says the opposite. Bravo, illy!!! I wondered if any of you would actually check it out. I did, myself, also, before posting it here, but I wanted to see if when it says "it's true, check it out on snopes.com" that if anyone ever does. I just wanted to post this to show the type of things that are streaming across the country about Obama. See, the problem is when people receive e-mails like this from people that they know, and when it says "it's true, check it out on snopes.com", then 3/4 the time the person receiving the e-mail takes it all to be true without checking it out themselves. People are too vulnerable, and take everything at face value. I e-mailed this to 3 of my friends (to see if they would check it out for themselves), and I have yet to receive an e-mail back from them saying that snopes.com says different. I'm going to e-mail my friends again today and tell them that it's bogus, and to check it out for themselves ..... BUT I guarantee NONE of them have even considered looking it up on snopes.com. Personally, I'm not for Obama (I'm for McCain), but it drives me nuts to see all the crap that runs through our internet that people tend to believe just because it's on the internet. This kind of stuff does hurt Obama (and all the candidates) though, because for every 1 person that does check things out for him/herself, there are at least 6 or 7 or 8 that don't, and they go on believing it.....which in turn, they tell their 6 or 7 or 8 friends that don't check things out, and so on, and so on. Anyway, again, good job and kudos, illy!!!! Ya mean like the 1,000 or so emails I have gotten about 9/11 and how bush was behind it so he could invade Iraq? I'm not sure what e-mails you got. All I'm saying is people don't usually take the time to research things for themselves. They just take whatever is on the internet as the truth. I, too, have received e-mails regarding many political issues (including 9/11), but I almost always take the time to check things out for myself. The reason I brought all of this up is because the article or chain-letter or whatever you want to call it that I posted has been burning across the internet like wildfire, and I can pretty much guarantee that most people aren't checking into the facts themselves, and are just "believing it". Anyway................. BTW, this same post ("chain-letter") was posted all over the main AOL Forum yesterday! .... And a lot of people were responding to it like "OMG, this is really scary", and "wow, I didn't know all of this about Obama", and things like that. One poster even said that he was going to vote for Obama, but now he's not. So see, people are believing it without checking it out! And Obama is going to have problems because of it!!!

That was a very good article realityman, and oh so true! .. it actually mirrors my thoughts on the subject. Right now there is kind of a 'lull' in the fighting between Israel and Hamas while U.S./Egyptian negotiators talk to both sides (different rooms ) in Cairo trying to hammer out a workable truce between the two. Hamas so far isn't giving so much as demanding things. So keep your fingers crossed.. with both hands. Hamas is still insisting on its own armed guards at the Egyptian/Gaza crossing... and so on. Unforunately, I seriously doubt that the fighting between the two will EVER stop ..... At least, not until Israel completely unleashes it's full military-might, and a MAJOR conflict/war happens. Then, and IMO, only then, it will stop, and it's not going to be good for the Palestinians. This mini war has been going on way too long for people just to suddenly stop....It's not going to end like that....not in a truce or not in a peace agreement. I kind of think so too, but at least the US and Egypt are making the effort. Hamas WANTS Israel to invade, so that they can claim to the world that they have the moral high ground and isolate Israel and turn them into a pariah nation state... Unfortunately, Hamas does not put a high value on its peoples lives when it comes to fighting the 'infidel' Jews. I agree 100%!! The effort is there between the US and Egypt, but unfortunately the effort isn't there between Hamas and Israel (especially Hamas). Hamas loves to just pick, pick, pick at Israel, and I have a feeling that one of these days Israel is going to get tired of getting picked at and provoked, and they're going to unleash on Hamas. .... And then, even though Israel was PROVOKED, they are going to get the blame ... And then shi'it is going to hit the fan.

Well, for me, I did much much more than my share of weed and a few other "things" when I was a little younger .... But, I don't know, when I got pregnant (well of course I didn't do ANYTHING while I was pregnant), but even after I had my daughter, it was like something snapped in me.....I guess the "motherly" thing came out in me!!
Anyway, I really don't think certain drugs (eg. weed) are a problem. As long as the person can maintain control, stay productive in employment, and doesn't cause problems for others.
You know, like alcohol... ........Alcohol --- AFTER work, and NO DRINKING & DRIVING while drunk!!!

BTW, I F-I-N-A-L-L-Y was able to log back on IAP. This is my first post in a long time. I've been trying to get on for awhile, but my password and replacement numerous passwords wouldn't work. I finally just tried it out of the blue, and it actually worked this time. Anyway, hope all is going good for everybody!!!!! Glad to see you back. If there is still a problem, send a PM to chovy or Biker Dude. I haven't seen much of chovy, so BD is your best bet. Maybe an admin can see the information you need? He might be able email it to you or something? Anyway, glad you're back! Thanks!!! I didn't think I'd ever get back on ... I was kinda missing you guys....AHHHHHH!!!
