1  Political Discussions / United States / Re: How Obama Won?? lol on: November 22, 2008, 07:24:56 AM
I thought this might be relevant to the discussion at hand:

I'm kind of happy to be just another vote that turned Dallas county blue this year  Grin

I understand linking McCain with Bush, but how are you linking Cheney into this?
4  Political Discussions / United States / Re: Politics as Usual Dead? on: October 24, 2008, 10:53:58 AM
Obama has run against Bush's policies not McCain.  Tongue
5  Political Discussions / United States / Re: Debunking Financial Crisis Myths on: October 14, 2008, 11:09:56 AM
I was only referring to when you said that ryan77 only wanted to blame someone and then in the rest of your post you started placing blame.  I’m not saying right or wrong just saying blame was being placed.
6  Political Discussions / United States / Re: Debunking Financial Crisis Myths on: October 14, 2008, 10:20:43 AM

All you care about is trying to blame all of America's problems on one of the two major parties.

... here is some evidence which shows that the housing bubble is in large part the democrats fault.

...Congressional Republicans tried to regulate Fannie and Freddie but the Democrats wouldn't allow this...

... It is not the Republicans fault, or the Democrats fault, it is the fault of partisan sheep who have failed to realize both parties have sold out the American people.

When it comes to the current financial crisis, Bush and the Republicans must share in the blame, as Bush didn't do shit to fix the problem, but the main fault lies with the democrats.

Seeing how you like to call everyone on this forum ignorant, I will assume you know the what the word hypocrite means.   Grin
7  Political Discussions / United States / Re: U.S. gasoline price marks biggest drop ever -survey on: October 12, 2008, 01:50:02 PM
Wouldn't you assume a price drop when oil is trading at $77.70?

Maybe if they tried to present it as a industrial hemp cause I might actually take them seriously

11  Social Discussions / Philosophy and Religion / Re: Religion & Suicide on: July 06, 2008, 07:27:12 AM
I don’t believe any religion sees suicide as an OK idea, but there are extremist that will say there are exceptions to the rule.  I have personally heard counselors using the reason “death is permanent” to detour any young minds from doing this.  In my own life when dealing with depression, any thought of suicide was to escape the pain from my life or just to end feeling all together.  The idea of nothing existing after life gave me some sort of relief.  The rest really depends on your own religious/spiritual beliefs.  I take a lot of personal beliefs from Hinduism and one of them being reincarnation.  The threat of my life ending has never really affected but what has is karma.  I really don’t know what answer you are looking for or if you were just interested in the idea…
12  Political Discussions / United States / Re: DEAN NIGHTMARE: Donors want $$ back from DNC over delegate snub... Developin on: March 15, 2008, 07:00:20 AM
They need to sue the leadership in their states who broke the rules and made their votes invalid.

This should not be news to them. They knew if they moved their votes up, they would not count and they did not complain - they wanted to be in the top spot. Welll, reap what you sew.

I couldn't agree with you more; to me it sounds more like buyers remorse than anything.  If they voted for their representation and the elected rep knew the consequences of their actions before hand, they can only blame themselves.
13  Political Discussions / United States / Re: Am I the only one sick of Obama? on: March 10, 2008, 11:37:22 AM
Many people tell me they support Obama for president. When I ask them why, it's usually one of the following:

He's a nice guy
He's a Democrat
He will unite America
He's was against the war in Iraq from the start

I don't see anything in Obama: he's an empty suit. As a resident of Illinois, he has done absolutely nothing for Illinois that I can remember.

Substitute Democrat with Republican, Illinois with Texas, Obama with Bush and that's exactly the same way I felt about 8 years ago  Grin

... and the rest of the Omaba supporters as a poor innocent black boy being strung up by the man...

What does Obama supporters have to do with this story?
15  Political Discussions / United States / Re: Hillary Clinton and Ron Paul winning big on AOL straw poll on: December 29, 2007, 08:58:18 AM
I refuse to believe the overly simplistic idea that Ron Paul fans are just more technologically proficient...

of course this is only my opinion but I don't think you should use the term "technologically proficient" when talking about people that use AOL.   Grin
