Political Discussions / Middle East / Re: "Israeli aggression" against Palestinian detainees

Welcome to the Forum Ali Your argument here is not valid, tho am totally opposed to holding 11,000 prisoners without trial. the clashes broke out at Ketziot prison in the southern Negev desert after guards started what it termed "provocative" cell searches. Palestinians responded by hurling objects at the guards, who fired rubber bullets and used tear-gas and batons to disperse the protest It is very common to use tear gas and batons to disperse protests in any prison and in any country. It's a jail! Also, I'd guess the treatment of prisoners in Israel is considered a Mirage compared to neighboring countries like egypt , Jordan, syria and lebanon. Where are your 2000 missing lebanese prisoners in syria? Didn't you discover graveyards of dead prisoners after the pull-out of syria? This is what happens to female inmates in Lebanon, a country that considered fairly "democratic"...read this 25 pages report by amnesty international. LEBANON
Torture and ill-treatment of women in pre-trial detention: a culture of acquiescence
1 INTRODUCTION
Women arrested in Lebanon risk torture and ill-treatment at the hands of law enforcement institutions especially during pre-trial detention(1).
Widespread torture or other ill-treatment of women detainees, especially those accused of major criminal offences, takes place in police stations. Women in pre-trial detention are routinely held in incommunicado detention and coerced to confess guilt or testify against themselves at a time when they lack the protection of the law. Women accused of political offences have also been tortured or ill-treated. Another vulnerable category of women are migrant workers, who have frequently been subjected to torture and ill-treatment in detention http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGMDE180092001?open&of=ENG-LBNJust being fair and balanced..

Am not an expert on Pakistani matters, however, I can tell you what I hear from pakistani acquaintances, and security analysts:
1. Both the islamists and secularists (in Pakistan) Hate Musharraf.
2. Musharraf is America's guy in Pakistan.
3. The 25 Pakistani nuclear ICBM's are located and "Under control" by the west.
4. The Pakistani Army is "Well-Fed" and "Well-nurtured" by Musharraf, and enjoy alot of benefits and prestige in Pakistan.
5. Ethnic Tensions are rising in Pakistan (Northern impoverished Tribes "Terrorist-supporters" Vs. Southern well-off "civilised" populations).
6. Neo-Cons' aim is to divide the country and instigate chaos, resulting in 3 separate and nuclear-free pakistans that would engage in civil war for the rest of the century.

Iran has the 2nd largest untapped natural gas reserve, and the 2nd largest oil reserve. Roseneft, Yukos and Gazprom are already in bed with the iranians. Russian defense contractors' main customers are the mullahs, billions of dollars are flowing to moscow and employing alot of russkies. I wonder what Olmert has to offer? I was thinking maybe the bankers would offer to invest heavily in Russia, and in return putin would bend over. But would the bankers trust putin not to nationalize their assets? What about Ukraine, would the bankers agree to sell it back to Moscow? missile defense?? A very interesting auction might take place in moscow.

So-called Prophecies had always been used as a propaganda tool in times of war. During world war II both the brits and germans had their own Prophecy propaganda centers. This was made in early 80's after Iran's islamic revoltution. At that time there was the American hostage crisis, a heightened cold war, and most definitely an islamophobe sheeple audience

Political Discussions / Middle East / Re: Vladimir Putin recieves the kiss of death

Actually, the report was first published by Interfax, a russian news agency. Russia's Interfax news agency said on Sunday that Putin had been warned by his special services of a possible assassination plot during his visit to Tehran this week.
Russian media are mostly controlled by the government and it would be unthinkable for a major news organization to report an alleged plot against Putin without prior official approval. This could mean that either the report was deliberately fabricated to give Putin a publicity stunt among russians.. The dramatic tale would serve to increase a feeling of insecurity in Russians at the thought of his disappearance and thereby increase their psychological dependence on him, argued Nikolai Zlobin, director of the Russian and Eurasia Project at the Washington-based World Security Institute. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSL1411390420071015?pageNumber=2Or it could simply mean that the russian intelligence is seriously sensing danger, and is warning in advance. In that case, Iran would have no interest whatsover in planning such an assasination, as Russia/China are her strong allies. So who else operates in Iran under the disguise of islamic extremists? http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/05/bush_authorizes.html

My debating always was why suddenly Israel decided to wage a full-fledge war last year for a procedure that has been going on for decades? For the simple reason that the Israeli regime had been planning this war for months in advance, waitig for a provocation, as admitted by the head of the israeli regime himself. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the Winograd Commission that his decision to respond to the abduction of soldiers with a broad military operation was made as early as March 2006, four months before last summer's Lebanon war broke out. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/834549.htmlthe Bushist NeoCon regime, of course, praised the Israeli killing machine all the way untill all the lebanese infrastructures were destroyed, 1500 civilians killed, and the stage was set for an internal lebanese civil war.

Look into her upper forehead and you can see the dark hair roots. You can't die the roots, ya know All of them wearing heavey make-up? maybe, but make-up on some girls give them totally new look, or "Fake beauty" if you may. Actually in order to have this hair color on top, which is not blond but I don't know how you call it is English "mèches" meaning that there are "stripes"? of blonde, you have to make the base color dark before putting the highlights, otherwise, it doesn't work. Besides, the highlights are made during the same day or the day before. She won't go with weeks old highlights so that the roots appear? Do you think that she appears to have fake beauty unlike other contestants? I think she overdid her tan, not her make-up. Anyway we can't judge from these pictures. This is her without the tan. I don't know, personally I don't really like her looks, but I am still happy she won Lebanese solidarity she looks different in the pic you just posted. You see, make-up can give someone so many different looks. That's why I don't believe in beauty pageants, unless they pick girls with natural beauty- No powder. Only then it gets competetive. However, beauty pagants set a standard for intelligence as well. So Miss Lebanon must've won the competition because of her intelligence, then her beauty. And i still believe she's dark-haired P.S it'll be a long time before a lady from the states win the continental title http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-7620686268212703476&q=miss+america&total=2518&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0

she puts on tooo much make-up. Powder, baby, powder. And I agree she should stick to her original hair color. The girl crowning her in the 3rd picture looks prettier. Maybe she was chosen for her brains The girl crowning her in the picture was last year's winner from Slovakia. And again, why do you assume she is originally dark haired? And they are all wearing heavy make-up. It's just because the close-ups are on her that you notice her more. Besides, these are internet pictures with very low resolution/quality Look into her upper forehead and you can see the dark hair roots. You can't die the roots, ya know All of them wearing heavey make-up? maybe, but make-up on some girls give them totally new look, or "Fake beauty" if you may.

Yes, Israel has the right to exist in a form of state declared and voted in by the citizens of Israel, like any other nation. However, the current Israeli regime is unlawfully occupying others' lands (Golan/Shebaa/Westbank).
So according to International laws and treaties, Israel Do not have the right to exist in the occupied lands mentioned above.

Turkey is over-reacting to the congress bill regarding armenians. The bill is clearly architected to provoke turks over the kurdish border. Those lobbyists who wrote the bill clearly understood the stubborn, reactive and highly patriotic turkish mentality. However, turks should remain patient and revert to crushing the kurdish rebels by using their air fleet. And perhaps bomb a few blackwater bases while they're at it
