Has anyone read any of the books by Jasper Fforde?

He writes some bizarre, yet humorous novels featuring folks from classic literature, set in a sci-fi like London in the year 1985.  He also has a couple of murder mystery books involving nursery rhyme characters or PDR's (Persons of Dubious Reality).  They are also rather funny and a bit dark.
