Legendary actor and 2nd Amendment activist Charlton Heston has died at the age of 83. Ben Hur, Moses, El Cid, Gordon of Khartoum and, of course, The Planet of the Apes-what a career! From

I feel bad that my first thought was, "Quick, someone go pry the gun from his hands now"
I have read more about Heston recently and I now even feel more guilty that that was my first thought. I grew up with him being the crazy NRA guy and very few of his movies. I knew he was in The 10 Commandments, Ben Hur, and Planet of the Apes, but did realize all that he did with Civil Rights and such.
Rest In Peace Mr. Heston.

I'm thinking of holding a pro-dead-actors rally while his funeral is going on - give him a taste of his own medicine.

Voluminious words don't make one perspicacious.

Good night, sweet prince.
Cue the predictable "I guess we can have his gun now" jokes.
