I'm deploying to Korea in a month on my Bday. Should be pretty interesting. Has anyone been there?

Welp I've been here a few days now, and it is pretty sweet. I am station in the small city of Waegwan. I'm planning on going out all day Saturday exploring so I'll post some pictures and recommendations then.

I got "hey youd" and had to pull CQ all day Saturday until 9AM this morning. So you'll have to wait until next week Tongue. Awake for 36 hours and still kickin.

I've made friends with one of the local shop owners here and he was able to point me in the direction of the biggest Buddhist temple in Waegwan. So I've got some pictures of that. I also took some videos, which I'm in the midst of uploading now.
The Temple has 4 main buildings. I wish I could explain what each of them are for, but the nun who showed me around was explaining everything thoroughly in Korean, which I didn't understand haha. She also showed me how to properly enter the temple, where to bow, the process of lighting candles and incense, etc. It was a wonderful experience.
This was the main temple:

This next temple is where I believe they practice Zazen (similar to meditation):

I have a video of inside which I'll post later.

And this next statue was in what looked like a little shack:

I'm hoping to take a Katusa (which in lamens terms is a Korean soldier that serves with a US unit. It stands for: Korean Augmentation Troop to the United States Army) with me next time to mend the language barrier.
