Justin Raimondo has a fascinating yet troubling story in the currest issue of The American Conservative, Pat Buchanan's fortnightly journal of opinion, on poet Robinson Jeffers. A leading literary figure of the interwar years, Jeffers ran afoul of the internationalist establishment during the war riddled 1940s. A true non-conformist like fellow poet Ezra Pound.

He was honored with a postage stamp years after his death. Also, the last time I checked the literary establishment was not connected with the Post Office.

I've never read anything by Jeffers, what can you recommend? I actually only know him from this stamp, still having the first-day cover from when I collected them as a kid.
