Thanks. I find it hillarious the way that the Republican Party finds itself hoisted by its own petard. There are millions of moderate Republicans who, while somewhat embarrassed by the mad ravings unique perspective of the religious right, were nevertheless happy to look the other way as long as they got their tax cuts and special provisions and subsidies. Now the beast is at the door, demanding to be fed. I love it.
I'd SO love to see Huckabee get the nomination. For one it would mean a landslide for any Democratic candidate of Goldwateresque proportions. For another we'd all get to enjoy the spectacle of Huckabee desperately backpedalling from the preacher-like role he adopts while speaking before partisan crowds.
p.s., Os, your initial post would have fit well into a current thread about this subject; "Huckabee's Success Antagonizing Some Conservatives."
Glad you got it this time. I thought about posting it in that thread and should have as you say.

And note here. Not once, in an article addressing the need for a REAL SOCIAL AND FISCAL CONSERVATIVE candidate, does it even mention RON PAUL's name. If a social conservative is looking for a Christian candidate that has been married to 1 woman for 52 years, a bunch of kids, and countless (fifty somethin' I think) grandkids....has NEVER endorsed abortion, or hired drug dealers, or child molesters, for key political or campaign positions....who has never appeared as a woman in public or kissed men on the mouth....who has NEVER spouted rediculous religious ferver as justification for policies to be made law....AND who unlike all the rest have NEVER voted for a tax hike....then VOTE RON PAUL!!! 21 YEARS of social and fiscal CONSERVATIVISM as a member of the House of Representitives, making him the MOST EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE IN THE RACE!!!!!
And so it goes in the present race for the Republican presidential nomination. The Republican establishment has once again told social conservatives to suck it up and accept Giuliani as the de facto nominee in spite of their reservations about his record on abortion and the homosexual agenda to redefine marriage. Why? Because Rudy has the fiscal credentials.
And this article said JUDY GHOUL-iani was the "DE-FACTO NOMINEE" because of his finanical credientials. Now, Biker thinks this means that JUDY is NOT really a serious candidate, but the rest of us UDERSTAND that this articel seems to imply that JUDY has the money edge on the republican side. Why is that? RON PAUL broke the GOP fund-raising record on Nov. 5th, the ALL-TIME fund-raising record on December 16th, and is the largest money maker this quarter. Yet this article fails to even mention his name. Why is that?
And given the fact that this guy seems to be crying out for a candidate EXACTLY like RON PAUL, he stops short of even mentioning his name or the fact that Zogby polls have him aas a possibility of winning in Iowa AND New Hampshire. Why is that?
Go figure. Vote RON PAUL!!!
