Those guys are able to get highest ratings on IMDB with their movies and also to have quite good actors lineup... Any movie i've seen from them was utter boring crap. Fargo was somehow alive for some moments probably because of best cast they could imagine.

I'm not American and maybe those movies are masterful piece of art in US but i want explanation why those dumb and boring movies get so much attention? Whats so special in them? How can anyone rank "No country for old man" crap as high as "se7en" or "requiem for a dream"? those movies miss every possible thing except style alike Tarantino...

So what you, Americans find good about Coen Brothers movies?

"The Big Lebowski" is a masterpiece of satire. A fantastic film.

Probably that, and a little bit of style you might not get. Every movie they do has a style of it's own, which you might not be able to understand if you're not American. I am American, so I couldn't say.

Perhaps so. However, it may simply be different tastes. There are Americans who do not like the Coen Brothers films.

I'm not used to hearing adults talk about "The Big Lebowski".

I don't know why I found that funny...

According to some, I don't act very adult! Wink
