Communism is an atheist scam.
Communism is neither atheist nor a scam.
It is both, a key pillar of communism is atheism, that all cause is only that of man. And it is a scam because everywhere it has been used in all its principle it has left misery and failure. Apparently you need to get out more in the real world. Perhaps if you read "Das Kapital" you would be more sure of the doctrine.
I'm reading Manifesto, so far I found nothing about atheism.
The danger is, of course, not solely an Atheistic or Communist problem. Anytime a political process tries to take the emotional content of religion and distill it into a unified whole, it fails. It breaks under its own weight.
Fundimentalism and Theocracies fail because of the same problem: Adherence at all costs to a Singular Universal Source of power. morality, etc...
The beauty of Democracy, and Protestantism, is that it allows a population to be diverse without having any singular, well defined goal. We all get to just live as we wish and the course of history will generally flow where it would naturally go.
When a meglomaniac, or power structure, or church or any single entity tries to create an umbrella for all people to live under it will naturally show signs of fatigue and crack. (This is one of the reasons that both parties try to characterize their opponents as an extreme dictator type (rarely do we hear a criticism that goes: what do you want just EVERYONE to have their own opinion and do whatever they want! (except in forms of extreme anarchy, which is so far from a honest actuality that it is a bit laughable.)).
As I was saying both Protestantism and Democracy (and Socialism) allow the general population to believe whatever they want without any single vision, or in the business world it is called a Mission Statement. (Perhaps there is a nice Sci-Fi novel that has each country run like a corporation; each has their own branding and "employees" (citizens) are hired and fired based on how they exemplify that countries Brand.)
Protetantism allows anyone to beleive what they want of the Bible, and the only rule is that you believe in the Bible and God somehow. This is the same for America. It is the general concept and you are allowed to make it up. Some people think Bush exemplifies it, others don't. We have elections and we get the general average. Not the best system, but....
Communism (as it has generally been run by cults of personality), Dictatorships, Theocracies all put the one vision of the State first and require submission to that more singular idea. It requires everyone to be on board or to be kicked off the ship.
(BTW, I'm am making some broad generalizations, but I think my point may be taken. I'm willing to be corrected, since this is just an impression I have. I may have Confirmation Bias.)
