What is the short term future for Pakistan?

Not sure if people have been reading the recent news in Pakistan, but the country has gone crazy with suicide bombings, leading to many deaths.

- Yesterday 43 people killed in a suicide bomb attack in a meeting of tribal elders

- Last friday a suicide bombing at a murdered policeman's funeral killing over 40 and injuring 60

- Last week the chief medical officer killed in a suicide bombing

So, some questions

1)Who is responsible for the violence?

2) Will President Pervez Musharraf survive as leader?

3)What is the short term future for Pakistan?

Now they're tear gassing lawyers LINK . These lawyers have the audacity to suggest Musharraf needs a Cheif Justice to run his tyranny of the region.

The gaul. The arrogance. The treachery.

Don't these lawyers know that if Musharraf released the Chief Justice from the house arrest that the "president" sentenced him to, Musharraf would be unable to maintain his unopposed control of the region?

40 killed in a suicide bombing became the norm in the muslim world. No one is paying attention anymore.
The country will continue as it is without any spectacular change.
Musharaff will go and will be replaced by yet-another-corrupt-leader.
Roads will still be dusty and the busses packed up the rooftop.

The good newws is that no islamic party won the elections.
