Quote from: Cass
I doubt you'll ever admit that it is israel's nuclear armament that is causing a rush for other nations in the ME

Of course not!
There is absolutely no basis to such assertion.

the reason is very simple: nobody in the ME fears israel with or without nukes.
Arabs never made any significant move to stop Israel when they were about to build nukes. At best they filled a formal complain to the UN but never advanced a penny to fund IAEA inspection.

The reality is that arabs are much more scared by Iran than by Israel.
Israel has been the whipping boy of all propaganda campain from islamo-terrorist groups of every flavor (Hezbullah, al-Qaida, Iran etc).
But everybody knows that the true game is where oil is.
Do you think arabs or persians are going to start a war for the golden dome and a few kibutz?
Nope. But at least two millions of poeple have died in the wars for Oil in the last two decades.

Cass, you must be completely blind not to see that. Your myopic focus on Israel is ridiculous.
Why do you think the legions of the US empire occupy Iraq and not some desert strips between Egypt and Lebanon? Why do you think al-Qaida is so active there and not in Palestine?

The place of action is the Persic Gulf, not Gaza or the Goland.
And a nuclear nation there is out of question.

An Iranian nuke is a state security issue for Israel, but mre importantly it's a global security nightmare because Iran is the forth oil exporter and is next to the rival 1st exporter.

When Israel bombed Syria, oil markets didn't move, but oil prices jumped 10% off the charts at the comment alone that Israel could do the same on Iran.
See the difference?

Finaly if you think that Israel's nuke is influencing Iran's decisions to build some, you are dead wrong.
Nukes have a formidable dissuasive power. Iran or any other nation wouldn't wait for "Israel to have nuke" before starting.
