How anti social are Japan?
The japanese have resumed their whaling in the southern ocean and the slaughter continues. The Australian and Japanese Governments are in a diplomatic war over the issue with Australian customs officials following the japanese whaling vessel, and taking photos which will be used by the Australian Government who will present the case to either the Hague or the International tribunial of the sea.
Reasons why the Australian government and public are peed off over Japan's whaling
* They are exploiting a loophole in the act which only allows whales to be slaughtered for scientific purposes. It is obvious to all and sundry though, that Japan uses these slaughtered whales to be sold for human consumption.
* An explosive photograph of a whale and her calf being slaughtered have been played down by Japan who accuse the australian government of propoganda and have said that the whale and the calf were not related and was just coincidence they were together at the same time

I have to declare that I am extremely biased when it comes to whales, due to my love for the ocean, and they breed in the ocean opposite me in August so I get to watch them from my balcony; they are such majestic and beautiful creatures. But it really annoys me that Japan which has a bad history of these kind of episodes just doesn't give a crap about anyone except themselves. They don't care about the environment, the oceans and the ecosystem within, they don't care about the whale being on the endangered list. It is really poor behaviour IMO.
