What would happen to a Chinese citizen questioning his government's actions in Tibet?
You mean the ending of decades of absolute slavery for 95% of the population? Nothing to complain about there.
Perhaps you mean the allowing of first the 20th century to arrive in Tibet and now the 21st century? No, I can't see anything to complain about there either.
Maybe you were thinking along the lines of complaining because the China govt. allows education - in the ethnic Tibetan language - and even demands that the children of the few - yes, that's right, there are not that many Han people in Tibet - people from other parts of China to study in and learn to speak, write and read the ethnic Tibetan language? Only complaint I can see there is from the parents of children that have to learn the ethnic Tibetan language, but they wouldn't. After all, if one is going to live in a place the least they should do is learn the language.
I know, you think the people of China should complain because the graduates of high school in Tibet - the ethnic Tibetans - have the right to go and study at any university in China they qualify for? No, that couldn't be it.
Must be the expenditure of 100's of millions of RMB on restoring the temples in Tibet and the monasteries in Tibet? Surely that is something Chinese taxpayers at least should complain about? Hmmm, problem is, they don't. Nobody in China seems to mind any of the taxpayer money spent over the last 5 decades on improving the lives of the ethnic Tibetans.
Gee, I'm kinda stumped here. After all, surely you aren't expecting the people of China to complain about things that never happened, are you? Nah! That would just be silly.
As would expecting the people of China to complain about the lies stemming from western propaganda sources or the sources provided by terrorists.
Like cauboi wrote, it is best if you just let Chinese people live in their truth and you live in your...now what do I write here? I mean, I know that what you write is not the truth, but if that's truly where you would rather live than learn the truth then that, too, is your choice.
