Your last lines can be applied to China as well, maybe you should let Tibetans live as they want ?

And what makes you think they aren't?

They are, you know, and they are living without the oppressive oligarchy that kept the Tibetan people in thrall for decades. They own their own property - something they were never allowed to do before; they own their own businesses - something they were never allowed to do before; they can travel anyplace they want to - something they were never allowed to do before; they can obtain an education for themselves and their children - something they would have been killed for under the evil horror of the cult of Tenzin Gyatso; the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region is composed of Tibetans - and government never existed in Tibet before China freed the people of Tibet from the evil horror under which they were slaves.

Their traditional medicine is being promoted throughout China and now around the world; knowledge that had previously only existed as oral traditions is being finally written down - in the ethnic Tibetan language and in Chinese with translations into English being worked on.

They can and do buy cars. They can and do buy televisions and can and do purchase cable and they can and do watch the vacuous prattle from talking heads on the likes of CNN, BBC, and even better channels such as MSNBC and Bloomberg.

They can and do purchase landline telephones and cell phones - with or without International Direct Dialing.

They can and do buy computers and in all schools - something else that never existed in Tibet before the region was freed from the oppression of the evil cult of Tenzin Gyatso - they have courses on learning and using computers.

They have restaurants, night clubs - although to be blunt, ethnic Tibetans don't like the nightclubs very much because of tall the backpacking foreigners smuggling in Hashish from Nepal and then staying in Lhasa and getting stoned and drunk in the nightclubs and then puking their guts out in the street - culturally, such practices are anathema to ethnic Tibetans.

The only people that are complaining are those who really don't want the ethnic Tibetans to be happy...the wealthy landowners/slaveowners that kept 95% of the population in slavery for their own benefit; the monks who came from those wealthy families that lost their life and death control over the population, and those that want to try and use misinformation about Tibet as a stick to try and beat China down if possible.

The people IN Tibet, the people that matter IN Tibet, are doing fine thank you very much, and they are getting just as pissed off as everybody else about the lies about Tibet and themselves being spread by the likes of the pond scum Tenzin Gyatso.

Truth is, the people of Tibet DO NOT WANT him back, nor do they want those that left with him and stole everything they could from the regions treasury before they ran away. At least, they don't want him back as anything but the titular head of the one temple that still recognizes him as being anybody special.

The rest of the ethnic Tibetans in the region want no part of him, or them.

They are living as they want. The only complaints they have had are the foreign tourists and the lies being spread that hurt them terribly.

I did provide another post that even included a link to a Vancouver site - not well-known as a hotbed of Chinese activity...too many hong kong people - about Tenzin Gyatso being sued by the Indian govt. for repression of religion...but it hasn't shown up because the child I quoted in reply doesn't like the truth.

Tibet is doing fine, better than a lot of other parts of China in many ways, and the people are doing quite well thank you very much, and THAT'S the reality, whether those who know nothing about it want to believe it or not.

The ethnic Tibetan people will never accept the return of the terrorist and traitor Tenzin Gyatso and the wealthy scum that kept them in slavery for long...NEVER...regardless of what foreigners want.

'Foreigner anti-Chinese' sounds so communist even more than you claiming you can publicly disagree with government when calling an anti-Chinese foreigner to those who opposite publicly.

I love your tactics, sorry for getting education and not raising rise in childhood to be smart enough to spot such shameful lie, i think your government should execute you for being bad Chinese for such improper arguments.

Great.  Another one.  And of course if some random poster, who's IP just happens to be from the exact same street address in Beijing, says something about you, we should believe it.  I don't think anyone has doubted if you are chinese or not.  I know I don't give a shit.  The discussion is whether you are some 'ordinary citizen' or a government spook.

And wouldn't you guys be much happier on your home board?

Great.  Another one.  And of course if some random poster, who's IP just happens to be from the exact same street address in Beijing,

Sooo, what you're saying then is that you can't tell one IP from another...is that correct?

Since I don't live in Beijing...can't stand the place...but rather live in Shenzhen, about 2,000 + KM away from Beijing, and I know that the chairman handle also doesn't live anyplace near me (but I wont divulge where he lives, but suffice to say that it is nowheres near where I am now) and yet you STILL try and claim that we both live in Beijing, then you really can't tell from the IP where anyone is beyond a hemisphere.

Tell you what, after all you are a "Forum Admin" - how about I answer some questions that no average Chinese person would know? Then you can try and impugn my heritage and say I'm not Canadian born and bred just because I'm smart enough and worldly enough to know a he*l of a lot more than you?

Here, I'll give you a brief: What did Western Canadians used to call people from Tranna? Creeps and...(no, the second word wasn't nerds, that came after computer-speak became common, we called them Creeps and...before there were computers).

Ralph Klein was the mayor of what city? He became the premier of what province that he then turned around and made - for some time - the wealthiest province in Canada?

What bar did Ralphie like to frequent in his hometown?

Hey, let's take if further...what district in that city did Ralphie live in while he was mayor of that city?

Here, I'll take pity on you:

Answers:

Creeps and Bums, or conversely - Bums and Creeps.

Calgary

Alberta

The St. Louis, just down the street from city hall.

Lakeview

Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong. You guys just can't stand it that there are people that do know the truth that are willing to take the time to try to counter the misinformation being spread on this forum.

And chairman isn't random. He has perhaps the greatest number of posts of any forum member on any forum on a forum that he used to frequent regularly.

Why he showed up here I have no idea unless he, too, heard that there was a forum with some intelligent people and some losers - like every forum - who know less about China than they do about the hair on their back, writing as if they actually knew something.

The only reason I came here was to try and counter the usual losers that know less than nothing about China, but try and act like the tiny bit they have heard from a guy who knows a guy whose ex-boyfriend overheard it in a bar from a guy whose sister used to bang a guy that read a newspaper article once and who said that China is the new boogey-man.

As for why chairman deigned to come out of semi-retirement, you'll have to ask him. After all, we don't exactly live in the same city and hardly ever communicate, even though we did co-author three of the largest threads in the world - and being investigated by the people from Guiness...the current one - and the original - with today: 377,172 views and 16,238 posts IN ONE FRIGGIN' THREAD.

But hey, I don't care since it's a great compliment. But tell me, is your Chinese as good as my English?

Well I do have a question for all of the failed Tibet experts.

Please respond to the following report by the well respected Economist Magazine.

""" Life expectancy of Tibetan was 35.5 years in 1959 vs. 67 years in 2005.And the infant mortality rate was 43% in 1959 and 3.1 % in 2005 (4.8% in Canada, 2006 data). What happened? Since 1959, 1,326 new medical institutions have been built ,among which, 764 new hospitals or clinics, 79 disease prevention centers and55 health centers dedicated to women and children. How about education? Before 1950, there was almost no decent school inTibet, less than 2% school-age children received education and the illiteracy rate was 95%. In 2003, 91.9% school-age children in Tibet enrolled in primary schools; 82.9% primary schools students continued studying in middle schools; and 72.1% middle school graduates continued higher education. All are decent numbers even they were from communities in U.S."""

I am an Australian living in Shenzhen, (so please, forget the Beijing IP crap), and it never ceases to amaze me how ignorant westerners are to what life was really like under the Buddhists.

Sooo, what you're saying then is that you can't tell one IP from another...is that correct?
What I'm saying is pretty obvious to anybody that can read.  Your IP's come from the exact same address in Beijing.  There, that wasn't TOO difficult was it?  Notice how it said EXACTLY the same as what I said before?  Funny that.  I don't play with words like some do.  I said exactly what I meant.

What I can tell about an IP is down to the street address.  Yours is the same.  Your claims to the contrary prove nothing.  It will be up to the people reading to decide who is more believable.  Since neither of us can show actual proof.

Tell you what, after all you are a "Forum Admin" - how about I answer some questions that no average Chinese person would know? Then you can try and impugn my heritage and say I'm not Canadian born and bred just because I'm smart enough and worldly enough to know a he*l of a lot more than you?

Dude, nobody has said that you aren't canadian or what the fuck ever.  Please go back to my post and re-read it.  And this time attempt to comprehend it.  Here I will even quote it for you.

I even bolded the important part for this discussion.  I don't care where you are from.  It is obvious from what I posted that it is not important.  Canadian, chinese, Burmese.  It doesn't matter!  Get it?  You are a spook.  Period.

And chairman isn't random. He has perhaps the greatest number of posts of any forum member on any forum on a forum that he used to frequent regularly.

Uh, maybe he showed up because you losers are talking about IAP on your home board?  Duh....Every single one of losers that has shown up here in the last week is all over that BB talking about IAP. Oh, and no my chinese plainly sucks.   My son speaks it much better than me.

I don't think anyone has doubted if you are chinese or not.

Well then, you need to read the so-called comments from another "Forum Admin" that has already said so, and who has his panties in such a twist that should I reply to his inane insulting comments with facts and figures, he has "arranged" that my posts are marked as spam and thus not viewable by the public.

I have one I made to "him" today - a copy available if you wish me to post it - just to show that he also knows nothing about Canada as well as not knowing anything about China or Tibet.

This is - I assume - supposed to be a forum where debate is being promoted, but I'll tell you straight out, even with the moderators at the China Daily deleting the occasional "sensitive" topics sometimes, it is a he*l of a lot freer than from what I have seen here so far, and that is embarrassing to me as a Canadian.

On what you so casually call "your home forum" there is a much freer structure for debate and argument but that is perhaps because the moderators are both in China and in the States...with the ones in the States a little anal to be blunt.

All I am interested in is getting some truth out to counter the misinformation being spread by the so-called "media" - nothing else.

Well I stated facts from a well respected "foreign" magazine.

Would you like to comment on those facts or continue to live in ignorance.
Oh I have more, much more, and I'd happy to educate you if you can step of you western high horses for more than a few seconds.

Oh really?

Here is what DNSstuff.com says about my current IP address (it's static and changes each time I reboot_:

Your IP: 59.40.111.79   ASN: 4134 [CHINANET-BACKBONE (No.31,Jin-rong Street)]   Near: Guangzhou, Guangdong China

That's the basic, the full spiel is:
