You mean Canchin like the super fucking hero wanker moderator that answered my first post here with...

""""" Oh well if you say so in your first fucking post, well then it MUST BE TRUE! """"

Is that what you mean?

I thought he was just letting me know it was okay to use whatever language I wanted.
I'm shocked to hear that it's not allowed here.  Grin

Well, just one example of many actually, and thus after duly reading the Forum Rules I was truly shocked, nonplussed actually and my nons have not been so plussed for some time!

Perhaps it is like many places and rules are meant to be broken by those who can do so, but not by those for whom power has been granted. Guess it's sort of like every government in the entire world: those in power do what they want, when they want, however they want...and those without the power take it in the...

I get the feeling we're dealing with a bunch of lazy misinformed racists here.
Very slow with their replies.

They don't seem to enjoy debating with a couple of foreigners that know China first hand.
They'd rather ply their racism against Chinese people that come here.
I think our super hero's get their China knowledge from funny looking things you have at parties.
You know they pull at end each and BANG out comes your bit of China knowledge for the year.  Grin

Much easier, isn't it boys?
Makes you are fell like super fucking hero's doesn't it.

Where's the debate guys.
Don't you wanna play anymore?

Cune, it is the weekend as well as being the middle of the night in the USA. So you have to try and have some patience when waiting for replies.  Smiley

I thought these China experts were real fanatics.

I was answering at 2am.

Still I suppose their replies will be more of the same clap trap.
Some numb nuts suggesting we are all communists out of Beijing.
..and that was a super friggin hero moderator.
What hope for the others mate?  Grin

Yep, am an aussie.  Smiley

The area where I was born, lived and went to school is now a Chinese Suburb. I don't mind it, and go back every now and again to see it. It seems weird though seeing Chinese writing on shop windows and chinese markets instead of traditional ones. But I don't mind it. I guess it is change, and the chinese immigrants on average are law abiding in Australia so good on them.

With regard to the admins and mods here, they are really high quality and run the forum really well. Maybe you got off with a bad start to them, I didn't read the thread. But it is always good manners to be polite to them, even if you disagree with things they say.

Not Box Hill is it mate?

Well as far as our super hero moderators are concerned////

His response to my first post.....
""""" Oh well if you say so in your first fucking post, well then it MUST BE TRUE! """"

Really High Quality? Not in my book.

The saying all posts from China are some kind of Beijing Communist stooges.
The guy is a definite numb nuts.

I don't know about me getting off on the wrong foot.
If you ask me he got of on the wrong foot with me.
He's welcome to ban me any time he wants.
I don't have a very high regard for media freedom in the west anyway.
He can just confirm it.

You know how everyone visiting Australia used to expect to Roos hopping down the main street.
Strikes me that the ignorance here about China is so great they think everyone still wears a Mao suit.

Amazing...

Cune, yep Box Hill. How did you guess that?  Shocked

I think the point Biker was making was that as it was your first post and he didn't know you, he wanted something a bit more substantive in order to believe you.

Well, my initial impression was that there was a whole range of Chinese propoganda posters on here. It just seemed odd, a whole heap of chinese posters turning up at the same time sprouting the government line. I am not saying you are, but some others certainly have similiar characteristics to what I imagine chinese propogandists have. My apologies if that is not the case, and they are genuine posters.

Where did they all come from just out of interest?

I used to live in Blackburn, then Ringwood, the Montrose, then Healesville.
Then I thought, what the heck, I've come this far, may as well move to China.  Grin

As far as our friendly moderator is concerned, I know what point he was making but lets say the execution left a bit to be desired. Especially for someone claiming to be a super hero moderator.
Still I will hand it to him that he didn't ban me when the going got tough.

What pissed me off is that I can imagine how a number of genuine Chinese posters have been treated here. They have a language disadvantage that I don't have.

Just because there is a heap of Chinese posters doesn't mean they have anything to do with propaganda, now does it? The truth is that the Olympics and amount of misinformation about life under the monks in Tibet has got a lot of Chinese people pissed. If you knew the real story, you'd know why.
I can tell you that reading their posts they are typical Chinese posters although typical Chinese people would be far too polite for this forum.

This forum has been mentioned for racism and ignorance on a Chinese forum.
That's how I ended up here and I guess a few others. Canchin is quite well know on Chinese forums and has been here for more years than just about any foreigner I know. I don't know the others but haven't looked around much yet.

A few guys here invited me to come to China to see with my own eyes the reality there.
Ain't this so cute ?
Why do they invite me ? Because they know that I will not come anyway, so there is no danger to expose their lies. That's called talking bold with no substance, but it's OK, by now I already know how their mind works.

Do I invite you to my country to see with your own eyes, you goofs? NO. And why? Because I know you cannot afford and most important your government will not allow you to step out of the short leash, so I don't want to make you feel sorry. Besides, I don't care if you come here or not, rather I prefer you not.

Why should I come to China, just to see with my own eyes something that you claim is different than what I know? It may be that you are right and I am wrong. But do you think that I have money to throw away on propaganda re-education purposes? Do you think that I wake up one morning and I decide I will take a trip to a dirty, third world country, communist on top?
I am working hard for my money and if I go on vacation I will go to a nice place where I can relax.

You should just say thank you to me that I buy a few dollars shit from Wallmart every week or so. Even that is too much, now I realize that I should cut off even those crumbs I donate to the Great Republic of China.

What a bunch of marvels you guys are.
You probably couldn't even point to China on a fucking map.

I wouldn't lift up my finger to point anything if I couldn't make a buck from that.
Besides, that place is too small, is not easy to find it on a wall-size map  Cool
