As you can see we have completely changed the forum. Anyone out there who wants to take a stab at a new logo can enter into this contest.

The rules are rather simple:
  • You must express desire to create and design (by yourself, or w/ other members) a new logo reflecting "IAP 2.0".
  • There will be a finite deadline for project submissions, but have not decided on a date as of yet.
  • Logos will be judged by the administrators and moderators and the top 3 will be chosen.
  • All regular members will be allowed to vote for their favorite logo out of the top 3 that were submitted and pre-qualified by the forum staff.
  • Any copyrighted work that is not your own will be rejected.
  • Your final logo design must be submitted and marked as your *final entry*
  • The format preferably should be in a scalable vector format that can be easily resized to fit our marketing campaigns (forum logo, t-shirt, coffee mugs). This is *important* so please do not submit a 80x80 gif and ask why it was not accepted. We will also accept PSD (Photoshop) or XCF (Gimp) files with layers intact.
  • The logo contest entry must be available for IAP without fees or royalties and will be granted such without compensation expressed or otherwise.
  • The pre-selected 3 logo contest winners will receive a free "High Society" account granting access to the paid-members area.
  • Technical Info:

Chovy is there any way we could offer the winner a high society membership for incentive?

I was going to wait until we release 2.0.

Understandable.

But if you want to get the ball rolling you could just put something out that says, "we want a new logo for IAP," and simply avoid all mention of IAP 2.0. Depends on how quickly you want it though, I guess.

I kind of like the "IAP 2.0" as the logo context...and I wanted to wait because I think people would base it on the existing site, which will be short-lived.

i dislike theme,,, i think rockettheme have better Joomla's themes,,,

to design one of your own is complicated because Joomla is over complicated by itself

this is sort of logo i've made in some 20 minutes but i have no time for more now,,, if you need use if you need to change tell me what,,, i wouldn't give PSD source but binary only

Ack. Would've offered a stylish logo/background I was making for another forum (but never finished), but it's raster and not layered.

Vector logos are a pain to make, and they look exactly like Flash animations (unless a customer wants one that's 150+MB in size and has the bucks for four color processing).

I'll wait and see what is presented (need the competition to get my lazy self motivated).

Well, you can always post a .png in this thread and if it is a contender (same background, size, etc), perhaps we could figure out a solution. We need the originals in order to  modify/resize, etc.
