Hello,
I am an American living in PATTAYA THAILAND.
If you want to comment about anything Thailand, assuming it is amusing, would be curious to hear about it.

Lucky you !
I don't wanna know why out of all places in the world you have chosen Thailand and especially Pattaya. I mean i know why but it is inappropriate to tell on this forum.

I spent 6 weeks in Pattaya when I was 19 and in the Marines. Fun place(a bit seedy). I think there are better locations in Thailand to vacation in Phuket has more of a tropical vibe. In some ways I found pattaya to be a bit depressing. Its a city by the ocean, the beach is polluted, lots of poor and homeless kids selling chicklets, kind of reminiscent of Tijuana. Seeing grown men rent pre-pubescent boys by the hour was disturbing to say the least. Lots of prostitutes. Enough negative though.

I found most Thai to be extremely friendly and helpful, and Thai culture and art is beautiful. Its so different than anything I had even been exposed to that I found it to be absolutely entrancing. Some parts of the thai coast line seem to be something out of a fantasy movie, you almost don't believe your eyes.
