The great and courageous writer, Taki Theodoracopulos, tackles the subjects of Gabrielle D'Annunzio and Benito Mussolini. In this era of Frankfurt School cultural marxists and Trotskyite neocons, it is quite refreshing to read such a courageous article. From Taki's Top Drawer. Where else? Wink

A rational and intelligent implication.

why don't u offer an extensive argumentation in defense of Fascism and Nazionalsozialism, in a separate thread? What is missing in our world because of the defeat of these two regimes? Your usual brevity does not allow for a comprehension of your views.

Certain aspects of those governments are defendable-not everything especially as pertains to Germany. In 1934 FDR praised "That esteemable Italian gentleman, Signor Mussolini".

Hitler failed in the virtue he preached most, - loyalty. He constantly whined about the all-pervasive betrayal, but he has started his rule with a betrayal himself. Ernst Rohm. At least, after all those years shoulder-to-shoulder with Rohm, he could have ostracised Rohm outside of Germany, sparing his life.

Exactly. Goering, Himmler and Heydrich were behind the "Night of Long Knives". Hitler should have stood with Rohm against those three butchers and the Army. After 1934, Germany was on the fast track to war and the Holocaust.

is it fat which makes you misunderstand that Hitler was a head of those three butchers?

You are quite correct. If Gregor Strasser had been more aggressive he woulds have deposed Hitler in 1926.
