Obama is gonna have to disown him AND his racist white grandmother.. ya know that "typical white person".. will he call Wright a "typical black preacher?"

LOLOLOL....

A 'big press conference' on Wright

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0408/A_big_press_conference_on_Wright.html

Obama was asked about Rev. Jeremiah Wright just now by a woman in Winston-Salem who tells the audience to watch his PBS interview, which will quell their concerns.

"I’m going to be having a big press conference afterward to talk about this," he responded, then referred back to a story the woman told about a mother having to borrow money to get to work.

"This is diverting attention from the first story that you told," Obama said.

----------------------------------------------------------

HICKORY, N.C. (AP) - Democrat Barack Obama says he was outraged by the comments of his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and saddened by the spectacle of his appearance on Monday.
Wright said Monday that criticism surrounding his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church.

Obama told reporters Tuesday that Wright's comments do not accurately portray the perspective of the black church.

Obama said, "I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle that we saw yesterday."

Wright's incendiary comments have dogged Obama's presidential campaign.

I thought Obama just had one of those. It was dubbed the greatest, most significant speech since JFK and MLK.

How soon we forget.

Uh, guys, sorry to end your circle jerk, but Obama's not trying to censor him or anything. He (and I think everyone would agree) views Wright as having a negative impact on his campaign. Obama has been over this and over this and OVER THIS, but why stop the media spectacle?

There's blood in the water and the sharks are circling.

Wright is such an asshole, he should just shut his mouth. Apparently he didn't learn the first time, if he was any friend of Obamas he would have just apologized. But no he has too big of ego for that.

With due respect, Obama looks sloppy. He's fumbled with Wright issue. He sounds out of sorts when talking energy. Clinton has clearly worn him down. He probably would have been better served to have waited for the next election cycle to get a little more experience...maybe sponsor some legislation.

He's very politically gifted but his timing seems bad.

Obama would be best to do as i said.. WITHDRAW.. and come back in 2010 midterms to elect his people and in 2012 to take the white house.

Yep, and poor old McCain just sits back and collects more and more of an advantage while out of the media eye. This election is going to be very interesting indeed.

Actually, the highlights I've seen of Obama's press conference (in responce to Wright's press conference) were pretty good. I mean, considering Wright has been off the radar for about 2 weeks but suddenly calling press conferences (like he's the one running for president - and the media responds equally), I think Obama's been pretty decent about this whole thing.

If he immediately denounced Wright everyone would have said it was because of political reasons and that Obama's friendships are nothing but political capital. Then people assail him for NOT denouncing Wright, but when Obama finally does... THEY SAY IT'S FOR POLITICAL REASONS!?

WTF?! That's insane!

This has become a media spectacle surrounding a single man who has ZERO impact on the campaign or Obama's possible presidency. It's clear that Wright and Obama are nothing alike and attempts to infer otherwsie are ridiculous.

Obama has said that the Wright he sees today is NOT the Wright he used to know... and given the sudden celebrity status Wright has attained, it comes as no surprise that a person would change for the worst.

YAWN. Yeah, this hurts him but it changes nothing. One way or another, Hillary will be gone and Obama lined up with McCain on the vidiot box and guess who will win?

Oh, how the sharks like to stir the water.

yeap a liberal from the north who thinks "typical white people" are ignorant and vote for republicans because of guns and religeon.  He is an elitist snob, and has NO chance of winning the midwest or south.  He wants to raise taxes, create socialized medicine and every other liberal Idea!

Vs

A "war hero" who has a past of working together with dems and republicans to get things done.  He will promise tax cuts to the ignorant whities and will win every state Bush won and has a good chance to add PA, NJ, NH, and maybe CA.

Yea it clear Obama will win heh

The problem with you is you think your idiotic nonsense is popular. You and your right wing nutball idiots are desperate to have "typical white person" be a racist epithet and a big issue. It's really pathetic because that is not the issue at all, it is not a line repeated ad infinitum, it not constantly brought up with the Wright issue. It is a non-starter outside right wing websites. Here you are trying to pontificate about politics and you don't even know the issues.

State by state polling shows over and over, McCain isn't carrying all of Bush's red sea.  And the "war hero" thing is as useless for McCain as it was for Kerry. No one cares. McCain is offering the same as Bush, which no one wants. You think America is you. It is not. Only rightwing nutballs are entering the booth going, "He's a northern liberal and he's gonna raise taxes." You won't even listen to reason, the basics: America doesn't vote issues, it votes personality... You guys screeched about taxes with Clinton and he raised them in his first term. And he still won: twice.

And laughter of laughs! YOU ARE VOTING FOR OBAMA! It just never occurs to you that there might be other republicans out there like you...

You really are goofy.
