sigh, its funny to see people that REALLY believe Obama has a chance to win in November.  I think its possible he may get in if McCain really screws up but I dont think he will have much of a chance.

McCain although I hate him is a "decorated ware hero", who has a history of working both sides to get the job done.  Although I wont change my mind (i live in AZ and seen him first hand) most conservatives will vote for him over Obama including Limbaugh and the rest..

Obama is a the most liberal member of the Senate who has never voted in a bi partism manner.

This is how the race is going to be run... The RNC is going to spend a ton packaging Obama a As the northern Liberal. the do as I say type... The one that will raise your taxes and spend your money as seen below...

-------------------------------

CNN's John King, playing off of a recent report from the nonprofit Taxpayers for Common Sense, noted that Obama had structured much of his candidacy on advocating transparency and fiscal responsibility. And while the $91 million in earmarks secure by the Illinois Democrat put him at the lower end of the spectrum, King added, "You have refused to say where the money went."

Obama denied the question's premise: "We've actually disclosed, John, all our earmarks." And he was, to a large extent, correct. Obama has made public all the earmarks he requested in the fiscal year 2008 as well as those he has secured while in office "He goes one step further where he discloses everything he's asked for," said Steve Ellis, vice president of Taxpayers for Common Sense.

However, as noted by Ellis, Obama has not released the earmark requests he made to the appropriations committee in 2005 and 2006.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/22/how-vulnerable-are-obama_n_87996.html

Already, McCain, who rejects earmarks entirely, has blasted Obama on the matter declaring: "And the senator from Illinois, who says that he wants transparency in government, will not reveal the number of earmarks that he received in 2006 and 2005. Is that transparency in government? I don't think so. I don't think so!" ..............

So why wont Obama release his Earmarks from 2005 and 2006 and although CLINTON cant make that an issue as eshe is one of the WORST asking for 2.5 billion in 2008 alone... Don't you think McCain who has almost never eve asked for a earmark make it a HUGE issue?

Future commercial...
+++
Black screen... Senator McCain has never requested an earmark to spend your money, but Senator Obama has...  Not only has he asked for your money and spent it he wont even release the details.. Thats right Senator Obama will not release his earmark request details for 2005 and 2006.  WHY?? what is he hiding??

McCain in 08
+++

Also, McCain voted againts the Bush Tax cuts, has critisized bush on teh war in Iraq, Complained we should have spent more time in afganistan, was againts bush's SS plans.. etc etc etc....

McCain will distance himself from bush and bush will be relegated to the sidelines liks Clinton in 2000.

ANYONE BUT BUSH or (BUSH 2 as democrats will call McCain) did not work in 2004 and wont work in 2008.

SORRY MY MISTAKE...

Obama Wanted Earmarks For Wife's Hospital, Fundraiser's Firm

Media outlets have begun digging into Barack Obama's 2005 and 2006 earmark requests. Obama released them yesterday, and challenged Hillary Clinton to do the same. The New York Times reports:

His campaign's list said the senator had secured $1.3 million of an $8 million request in 2006 for a high-explosive technology program for the Army's Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The list said the program was overseen by General Dynamics.

One of Mr. Obama's top supporters, James S. Crown, serves on the board of General Dynamics, a military contractor. Mr. Crown is a member of Mr. Obama's national finance committee.

Mr. Obama also secured $750,000 of a $3 million request for renovation of a space center named for Mr. Crown's grandfather, Henry Crown, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

In addition to the University of Illinois, Mr. Obama secured several million dollars for a project at Chicago State University. Emil Jones Jr., the president of the Illinois State Senate and an early and powerful political benefactor of Mr. Obama's, has been a dogged champion of Chicago State, and one of Senator Obama's closest friends. A Chicago businessman, James Reynolds, sits on its board.

But Bill Burton, a spokesman for Mr. Obama, said these requests had all been considered worthwhile by the senator's staff, and that Mr. Obama never discussed any of them with Mr. Crown, Mr. Jones or Mr. Reynolds.

Also: "In among them was a request for $1 million in federal funding in 2006 for a new pavilion at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where his wife, Michelle Obama, was a vice president at the time. The request was not ultimately included when Congress passed spending legislation that year, according to the Obama campaign."

LOL.. so ... umm how do you defend Obama on Earmarks?

FT, I know you're fired up at reaganite but you are talking in generalities.

Quote
repiglicon party

Is that REALLY necessary?

On another note, I just hope Obama and McCain keep their rhetoric on a higher plain. That won't happen, though. Someone is going to go on the attack eventually.
No I am not talking in generalities.Quite specifically all the right wing political pundits from Rush to Crystal are pushing for Clinton to get the nom. That is something to take note of and ask why. They to a man will also beat up on Barack at every opportunity stretching to make even passing associations with questionable people the subject of hours of talk. Which tells me they are scared of Obama and hungry for a rehash of a Clinton confrontation.
As far as my reference to the repiglicon party... It is so much more descriptive when referring to the party of pigs and cons I can't help myself. When they stop using the noun "democrat " in place of the adjective "democratic" I may reconsider my use of the word repiglicon.
Barack need only reveal McCain to be the water boy for Bush that he is ...Bush will defeat McCain.

Reaganite is evidence-proof. Stop wasting time on a guy who just pulls nonsense out of his butt and repeats it for a reaction.

I'm not so sure running a candidate to the left of  McGovern, Dukakis, Kennedy and Kerry is as much a "shoo in" Dem supporters believe.........the country is still center-right.

The country doesn't vote positions, it votes personality.

And Ron Paul is hardly a radical left liberal, and HE is voting for him.

lol... ok... Smiley

The country VOTES for what they beleive and those beliefs are issues.

Its why CLinton took moderate republican idea and used them as issues to get elected in 1992 and 1996. I forget though Irwin is a political mastermiond making 8.50 an hour in a grocery store biding him time for Obama to win so he raise the min wage to 10 and irwin can then pay some income taxes.

Ron Paul has never said he is voting for Obama and even clarified his position to say he is not endorsing Obama.  If he does vote for Obama he is a moron because Obama is everything Ron Paul has faught againts the last 20 years.

Btw, Ron paul is a kook anyway Smiley

Ron Paul does not represent the center-right, as his performance has demonstrated.

At this point even Newt is telling Republicans that they need to find a different approach against Obama, because nothing is sticking to him.  With Hillary it will be to easy to make it out like a Dynasty which is already a turn off for many voters.  Besides, there have been many accusation against the Clinton's that have worked to fire up Republicans even if they are not true.  They have not found anything to get people excited about voting for McCain or to vote against Obama yet.  Hell, even among the Republicans that voted in the Dem primary Obama still one about half the vote (despite the ranting of some republican comedian to vote Hillary).

Obama will be clasified as a northern Liberal, who wants to take you guns, allow partial BIRTH abortions, will be soft on terrorism, and with the new story soft of corruption.

He may have a chance but I dont think its a lock like other posters here think.

I believe Rove will destroy Obama quickly and Hillary will start her campaign for 2012 saying "see I told you so"

His performance? He is on the right, not the left. You must know by now that wanting to dismantle the Federal government, is not a left issue.

dont mind irwin.. he does not understand much despite being an underpaid political stratagist!

Most of Ron Pauls supporters were mostly the looney left that wanted to end the war in iraq, and not conservatives, or moderates.  they will be voting for Obama in November irregardless of what Paul says they should do.

What does the republicon scum machine have on Hillery that makes them so sure McCain can beat her?

Actually, we are pretty sure hes gonna get the nomination. Were just pushing for her to stay in the game so that the democrats divide themselves further. Obama is seen as easy pickings because we see him as a bad character with weak foundations, and this as something which can be easily advertised later on.

Between McCain's Flip Flops on different issues, his vow to put conservative judges in the USSC, his gaffes on Iran and AQ, his admission of his lack in understanding of economics, the fact he will continue the war in Iraq, his age, and the fact that many conservatives (such as yourself by your own admission) won't vote for him, his public finance issues, and is pushing for another war will probably give much more of an edge to Obama.
