Between McCain's Flip Flops on different issues, his vow to put conservative judges in the USSC, his gaffes on Iran and AQ, his admission of his lack in understanding of economics, the fact he will continue the war in Iraq, his age, and the fact that many conservatives (such as yourself by your own admission) won't vote for him, his public finance issues, and is pushing for another war will probably give much more of an edge to Obama.

His characterization will ultimately be quite different from yours above. Obama, as we've see, has had a few problems of his own. Clinton couldn't even hammer him on his lack of experience because her's was equally weak, so that will be an issue for him.

It will be fun.

McCain is doing a traditional campaign, play to your party's base during the primaries, then shift to the "Middle". Republicans have got used to only playing to the base from Bush. McCain knows he needs to regain the middle, his bread and butter before the election. It won't work. Obama has finessed it like Reagan. He plays well toward the base and the middle without trying. It is that approach that will make him win.

Hilary ignored her base till it was too late. That's why she is hurting now.

McCain is doing very well with the center, it's the base he needs to shore up.

Yeah, the base is what he offended before he decided to becom president. Then he kissed ass for a while.

I didn't say it worked. Just as Hilary now is working in the opposite direction toward her base and hasn't worked. Now McCain is positioning himself back toward the center again to distance himself from his hug buddy.

The liberal base hates Hilary and the conservative hates McCain. At this point it is personal and won't change.
