Me? I see a people occupied.

You see an underdog that justifies itself morally by that definition alone.

You see when the Palestinian child cries and the mother demands peace but not when they say, "victory for us is watching you suffer", or admit they won't be happy until Israel is gone. That's when they're invisible to you.

You don't see any sympathy for Palestinians unless it's inline-with/equal-to yours.

You do not see what the world looks like when all your neighbors are this hostile.

You do not see that Israel isn't going anywhere. You don't see the politics pushed and violence done from the simple loss of face after losing a 6-day war they provoked and lost miserably. Nope. They'll never get over that either.

...so just like everyone else you do not see a middle ground. You believe agreeing to common ground amounts to giving someone 'praise'. Just like everyone else you're dumping on you are an extremist. Here's to 60 more years of it. Roll Eyes

there is hardly a couple of objective posters in the ME forum.
Exactly, and you are not one of them.

Most have personal attachments or ideological implantants. One has his vision restricted by his beer belly and his Jewish wife, another himself lives in Israel, a couple of others just distaste Muslims, another one simply needs war, for his own inner reasons, and sees no better stranger uglier enemy that bearded Easterners. Maybe a pure antiSemit also.  A few well-intentioned geezars with no idea of what's going on but freaked off by the idea of terrorism and mumbling "violence against civilians unacceptable". So everyone sees what he wants to. It's easy. Me? I see a people occupied. I see in Palestine exactly what I see in Chechnya and Kurdistan and other places, and I'm always against the occupiers, whether Jews or Russians or Turtle Ninjas. So I see what I wanna see.
Your last sentence is the most honest I have ever seen you be.  Good job.

so what makes you different than those you criticize?  If you ask me, you sound like a realist and practitioner of realpolitik with a statement like that.

Well done Biker...

What I've said before, with reference to many of the radically biased anti-Israel crowd... There are facts which can be used to back up almost any position one might want to take... BUT... what often EXPOSES the weak and/or baseless positions are the FACTS they have to purposely ignore and/or avoid to keep those positions.....

"Moshe" fell into this trap time and time again (whatever happened to him anyway)??

"underdog" does not equal "occupied".  I don't sympathize you just because you're overpowered. But when you're overpowered by aliens on your native land. And stuff like that.

most of us don't give a damn about suffering of various people in varios places. Possibly Fortaleza is the only pure humanitarian here with a noble compassion for all those suffering. My case is about freedom, whether that sounds cheap. I'm more sensitive to the suffering of those striving for freedom (say, removal of alien control) than those simply suffering brong wrong place wrong time. Because I do not see Israel's occupations as functions of security, but merely as function of territory control, I do not identify with Israeli suffering, albeit I surely wish we all lived in heaven right now.

Quote
"victory for us is watching you suffer"

people wish evil upon those they hate. Revelation about human nature. It IS a natural desire, isn't it? You never had it? Even as a child? So people wish evil upon those they hate. The question is why they hate. Some think hate is taught. I think feeling are not taught. Though they can be directed. I think Palestinian hate is natural. Israel is the source of the suffering that gives rise to this hate. Do you want me to reprimand overpowered suffering people for not being lofty enough to control their natural hate urges directed at the source of the suffering?

Quote
You do not see what the world looks like when all your neighbors are this hostile.

a remote friend outweighs those hostile neighbors. Arabs failed to deny Israelis normal existence. Despite terrorism, Israelis enjoy wellbeing and freedom of movement, etc. Israelis have denied Palestinians normal existence. Generation after generation.

Quote
You do not see that Israel isn't going anywhere.

you do not see what I say about Israel.

Quote
a 6-day war they provoked and lost miserably. Nope. They'll never get over that either.

they already did. They signed treaties with Israel. Except Syria.

Quote
.so just like everyone else you do not see a middle ground. You believe agreeing to common ground amounts to giving someone 'praise'.

i've actually elaborated my vision of the peace process. Guess you weren't here.

So I see what I wanna see, and you see the truth. Think about sharing your wisdom.

Peisithanatos, don't you think it would be so retarded to occupy territory that cannot be used ? How much percents from 'out of green line' used by settlers? You just a joke. Israel controls territory to punish Arabs for their ignorance and making them think twice before attacking again unless they want to sign peace treaty with Israel which they don't want. Egypt's and Jordan's peace treaties worth nothing, these countries are enemy states, the only thing stops blind arse like yours to understand that is that both of these countries got totalitarian militant regime to control real intentions of Arabs.

Israel shouldn't sign peace with Arabs, it worth nothing. Also Israel should send its craziest radicals to territories as settlers so they will settle their things with Palestinians. Israel does what it supposed to, hail Olmert. Low level, unsecure politician who unable to make any proper decision is what Israel needs forever.

Jerusalem officially annexed. Golans officially annexed. Demography changed in both places. Security? Punishment to the Arabs?

How much of the occupied land is used by settlers is NOT the question. You simply did not have ENOUGH PEOPLE WILLING TO GO THERE. You TRIED to move there AS MANY people AS POSSIBLE. Israeli government has had the policy of incentives to motivate people to move into the OTs. That was the official policy of your country - to populate the OTs with Jews. Now you tell me that you don't have territorial ambitions because you moved there "ONLY" 250 000 and populated "ONLY" a part of the OTs. There is no one naive enough to buy that. Israel created as many settlements as it could. Only the Palestinian ATTACKS discouraged a much larger migration of Jews into OTs, while ISraeli government ENCOURAGED it. You annexed EJ, annexed Golans, channelled hundreds of thousands into the OTs, built large towns like Maale Adumim, and CONTINUE to expand them.

you will know what "enemy countries" means in due time.

every time they try to do that your army arrives to bomb the Palestinians. Maybe you should  leave your fanatics in the OTs  tet-a-tet with the locals.

Israel was beging peace with Arabs. Here is a IDF officers saluting their Egyptian Capturer in 1973 war.

Guess there's not much chance for a peace...

Israel plans more settlement units

The Israeli housing ministry has announced that it will build 884 more houses in East Jerusalem, an area that Palestinians want as the capital of their promised independent state.

"We will invite tenders for the construction of 121 housing units in Har Homa and 763 others in Pisgat Zeev," Eran Sidis, a ministry spokesman, said on Sunday.

Both the settlements are part of Palestinian territories occupied by Israel in the 1967 war.

There is no chance for peace with the continuous aggressive Israeili policies. The Basics of any peacfull solution should include Palestinians return to their villages, towns & cities from where they were expelled since 1948. In addition, Israel should declare a constitution, accept Jerusalem return to arab solidarity & apply a serious policy to get rid of its nuclear armour. Without these, no peace may be looked for in the middle east.

So just roll back all the arab mistakes of the last 60 years with not culpability for arabs, and just start over?  Sounds like a good deal for someone...
