As Im sure you are all aware, Obama has a great lead among the African Americans. Here are the leads in a few states: Percentages of black voters voting obama-
NC: 92%
IN: 90%
AL: 83%
PA: 85%
TX: 85%
OH: 88%
Now, they were saying on npr a few days ago how there was racism at play in the whites in Indiana because Obama had lost the white vote 40-60%. What Im proposing is that the feeling of blacks that Obama would better represent their issues, which is why he is getting such support amongst them, as no white candidate has ever gotten 90% of the white vote, is racist. So how do yall feel about racially motivated voting? For or against?
Actually, before Obama proved himself in Iowa, an overwhelmingly white state, most blacks supported Clinton. Bill was beloved by blacks, even called the "first black president" because of Kenneth Starr's Congressional lynching...until Bill made a fool of himself with personal attacks on Obama. Obama proved, unlike Jesse Jackson, that he could get a white vote. When blacks realized Obama was no Jesse Jackson, like Catholics who came out for Kennedy, they went to bat for him. They saw a black man that could actually do it. The Republicans should have figured out a way to run Powel. He might have gained the black vote for a generation for them. They went with Bush because Powel was smart enough to refuse.
