o why do many chinese emigrate every year then?
Actually, considering the population of over 1.3 billion it's not that many.
The ones that do, do so because they expect a better life.
Many have rich parents that think Australian education will carry more weight.
A few really enjoy the west but many find it boring and return.

It is a pretty boring life, at least for me anyway.
I can honestly tell you that I find China far more free than anywhere I have been and so do almost all foreigners I have met here. For example, we don't have water police. They don't for not voting, (not thats an irony of ever I heard one). No fines for being 3 klms over the speed limit. We can cross the road all by ourselves here. In fact I feel like a really big boy here.
Propaganda is a favourite word on this forum.
From what I have seen most of it western propaganda.
