Who will watch the watchers?

A vote for McCain is a traitorous vote for the destruction of our way of life as we know it.

In the primary, you are probably right...no big deal. The big deal comes if Obama can't win a huge proportion of Hillary's support for the general. It seems the state rejected Obama.

That would be a big deal, for sure.

West Virginia rejected a black candidate?

WOW!!!

So, you are over Vince Foster and love Hillary with all your heart now?

Or is it fear of Obama that drives you to shill for that witch?

I don't understand why people think just cause Obama lost to Clinton that Obama will lose to McCain.

Democrats in West Virginia will vote for Obama, especially when they find out he's not Muslim - as if his religion should effect the way they vote Roll Eyes .

Speaking of which, I just got in an argument with 2 of my good friends over this... 2 people I thought were relatively well educated. I mean, how can people villify him for his Christian reverand AND his supposed Muslim faith? What the hell? Why is this country so damn stupid?

People. People easily swayed by rumor and congecture. People who shouldn't vote.

What scares me more is that it MATTERS that he's Muslim. This war on terror has become a war on Islam and it's starting to show just how bigoted some people are.

And while Republicans try to focus on West Virginia, they convieniently forget to notice that they lost a Congressional seat in Mississippi in a district that overwhelmingly favored Bush in the last presidential election. And they didn't just lose it by a hair. They lost it by 46%-49%. LINK

Just thought with all this talk about how a black (supposed Muslim) Democrat can't beat a white Democrat in West Virginia (which in the end doesn't really matter), it might be more interesting to talk about the Republicans who can't beat Democrats in Mississippi.

I've not seen undue attention to WV. Of course, it's in the news getting election coverage. I've seen Democrats wringing hands, to be honest. I've seen the words 'buyers remorse' thrown around. I can't say if that is a widespread thought but enthusiasm isn't as high today for Obama as it was two months ago.

I should have said "Reaganite's attention". My apologies.

I just consider him the "mouth-piece" of the RNC, so it's hard to consider the 2 mutually exclusive sometimes...

Personally, I don't see that among most people who were fond of Obama already. I hear a lot of people who liked Clinton say that... but not many Obama supporters...

But this is just personal experience. I don't have any legitimate sources that disagree with what you're saying.

Well, the polls will soon tell. Personally, I think most of Hillary's support will follow Obama.

Reaganite is not the spokesman for republicans by far. As some republicans do have good sense and are educated  Wink. But to keep on topic, as much as i hate Clinton, she is far from dumb. She is a veteran politician and knows how and when to win votes. Notice Billy not in the media these days?  I think he ruined the first couple of months for her but she is on the move now. I have nothing against her but I just do not think she is the best person to lead this country right now as with Obama. They are unsure of themselves and makes decisions on emotions and what is popular at the time.

She has served in elected office for only a few years. I maintain her campaign has been a disaster. She went from presumptive nominee to in debt and on the brink of being completely knocked out.

In my opinion, she is corrupt to her core.

I really don't get it - she is not much more veteran than Obama. Being a politician's wife isn't really deep experience. Even a president's wife.

She was "inevitable" until the race actually started - and then Obama kicked her ass. She has been behind since the get go. Now she is playing the race card "I can get white, working class voters" . . .

Corrupt is being kind.

I can't wait for her to admit defeat. She will have to - she can't win. Everybody knows it, but few are going to rush out to buck the Clinton machine when time will do the job for them.

Personally, I don't think that's any more racist than Obama saying he can get the working class black vote. Both comments are likely fact.

It's just recognizing the voters for what they are. Blocs.

/sarcasm

I think what was stupid was that she admitted people who don't college vote for her.

That's not exactly the best kinda group I want behind me - no offense to those who haven't gone to college. I just think of the people *I* know who didn't go to college... and none of them (aside from my aunt who is an HR manager at the Astra Zeneca headquarters here in Delaware) are great role models.
