I don't hate Obama. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

That being said, I don't think he has anywhere near the experience to run this country effectively. He has some himself naive on foreign policy.

This looks like an election that will be completely devoid of big ideas.

OK, I get it he was pandering for votes.

Any word if anyone feinted during his appearance? I know how weak-kneed his constituency tends to be.

Was water turned to wine, did Obama walk the Oregon River?
Oregon River? Huh?  That'd be more amazing, since he'd have to call it into existence before walking it.

Many apologies, I should have said an Oregon River. You do have some rivers...in Oregon?

I read this line and its sorta stuck in my head...

Quote
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.

Why should we give a crap about what other countries think of us when it comes our air conditioners, and what we eat?

Does Obama (who owns SUV's) think we should Outlaw SUV's and ration food and mandate tempetures at 80 degress??

I am just curious if this si what he believes or was he just pandering to the Oregon greenies?

What he's saying is that we can't expect to act in ways that are harmful to the surroundings and expect everyone to be just be okay with it. Food, I could care less about because you screw yourself if you eat too much. Car emissions, on the other hand, have to go somewhere.

yea so whats his plan to make us look better?

Will he make it illegal to own SUV's, eat too much and or mandate the tempeture in which we should keep our homes or is he just doing the normal liberal thing and telling others what to do...

IE.. Do as I say not as I do...

Wonder what cars Obama owns. What the temp in his tiny chalet is. What restaurants he dines in. Wasn't he just pictured chuggin beer and stuffin his face with hot dogs in Pennsylvania?

The two ring circus continues.

Did I say you did?

I just said I don't think he or McCain are really either of our ideal candidates.

The more I think about the election the less excited I get to vote... Sad

I don't know... but neither do you.

Well, even if he did... what does that prove? That he likes beer and hot dogs?

yea so whats his plan to make us look better?

Actually talking about the problem rather than ignoring it?

Or maybe he's just saying it cause it's true?

And isn't that the reason I started with the 'wonder' thing. And...I'm also betting I'm one of few who would even ask. Most would feint...be charmed by his words of hope and change....and allow his blatant hypocrisy to slide right on by.

Why not ask us what other countries think of him chuggin beer and hoistin hotdogs....think they're response to him is gonna be an OK? The man is a clown and not a very good one.

If these are the best that the GOP will be able to though at Obama during the GE, this will be the biggest landslide victory for a democratic nominee in history.

BTW, I am glad to see quotes taken out of context so well here.  I mean, because that is really what Obama was saying, we need to get other countries approval   Roll Eyes

We're certainly not going to throw anything important at him...like asking him to spell throw correctly.

You are right. It will be difficult to attack Obama because he has no track record. He has no experience. That, however, isn't a plus for him.

I'm sure they do, but I'm not from Oregon.

You don't have to be from Oregon to not address the issue. Point taken.
