Over a spelling correction? We're in here to discuss issues, I ain't braggin about spelling or grammar. I'll misspell and even dangle a participle now and then.

You are so emotional, are there any men who would like to exchange a post or two?

I don't know... but neither do you.

And isn't that the reason I started with the 'wonder' thing. And...I'm also betting I'm one of few who would even ask. Most would feint...be charmed by his words of hope and change....and allow his blatant hypocrisy to slide right on by.

But you're proposing he's a hypocrite even though you have NO idea what car he regulary drives (though I doubt he actually drives much anymore), what temperature his thermostat is at and what dining establishments he goes to... so what was the point in even mentioning them?

It would be like me calling you a racist because of the KKK meetings you may or may not go to.

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Why not ask us what other countries think of him chuggin beer and hoistin hotdogs....think they're response to him is gonna be an OK?

What the hell does this mean?

He's talking about the people that buy 50 lbs of rice and Cosco and end up throwing some of it away. He's talking about the people that drive off road vehicles but haven't left NYC. He's talking about waste and hoping people become more aware of what they waste.

It doesn't matter that he ate hot dogs. If he ordered 12 hot dogs and ended up throwing away 11 of them then MAYBE you would have a point... but otherwise, you don't.

The full context:
Quote
Pitching his message to Oregon's environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to "lead by example" on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.

"That's not leadership. That's not going to happen," he added.

Makes this:
Quote
Why should we give a crap about what other countries think of us when it comes our air conditioners, and what we eat?
...out of context.

Quote
Does Obama (who owns SUV's) think we should Outlaw SUV's and ration food and mandate tempetures at 80 degress??

Naturally he didnt come close to saying that, so "no".

so he wants US to lead by example, but if we follow HIS example then we will be swigging beer and hotdogs while bowling, driving SUV's for safety and buying mansions in chicago.

Don't know? I know the church he visits and its temperature. I've seen the amount of money he makes, I've seen him under the lights in the CNN studio. He and his campaign bustle around the US using planes, trains, and automobiles. He's high end user of power sources, telephony, computer circuits, his 'carbon footprint' looks like Bigfoot's. And hbe dares to lecture America based on "what do other nations think" What a f'n joke he and those who believe him(you?) really are. Who does he think he's talking to?

Because of the kkk meetings I may or may not go to? We were discussing his hypocrisy, isn't it a little early to be playing your over-used and worn out race card? Quite telling this statement of yours. Roll Eyes

Oh..you mean those problems Americans? Buying off road vehicles...imagine! Imagine someone using a fraction of the oil Obama uses on a daily basis and having the audacity to drive a 4wd.

Perhaps he should start by lecturing his supporters. Perhaps ask Oprah when the last meal she missed was. Start lecturing the networks the carbon footprint all over the consumer in Americanville with his temperature set at.....hold on now...a startling 72 degrees.

Yeah....how's yer pool doing these days, Obama...that at 72 degrees too? You f'n joke!

Wonder if Rev Wright's pool is at 72 degrees?

No doubt the chimneys keep the home toasty warm...probably nowhere near the 72 degress the rest of us are supposedly warming with. Yes Yes...what was that Obama...bout these other nations just saying ok? Have they seen yer crib.....you f'n joke!

Uh, he's running for president, there, big guy. What's he supposed to do? Bike from Phili to LA?

You never took a reading comprehension class in your life, have you?

Read what I said again. I didn't call you a racist.

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Did I do a fly by? That go over yer head?

No, you just said something really stupid.

'Tis all.

And I like how you just cut out that part of my reply like it was a seperate responce... as if it wasn't followed up by more.

Quote from: Charles Martel
Oh..you mean those problems Americans? Buying off road vehicles...imagine! Imagine someone using a fraction of the oil Obama uses on a daily basis and having the audacity to drive a 4wd.

lol

You're ridiculous.

Can you tell me why someone would need an SUV in NYC? They're more than welcome to buy them but they're not allowed to bitch about oil prices.

Obama is just saying that we need to start thinking about conserving what we have and shouldn't go around wasting it on frivolous things like 4wd in "the concrete jungle".

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Perhaps he should start by lecturing his supporters.

Those are generally the people that go to his events...

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Perhaps ask Oprah when the last meal she missed was.

lol

A fat joke? Really?

I expected better.

Yeah....how's yer pool doing these days, Obama...that at 72 degrees too? You f'n joke!

So cause he has a pool he's not being enviromentally concious? Like... really? That's the best you got?

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Wonder if Rev Wright's pool is at 72 degrees?

WOW!

You guys will do ANYthing to talk about Wright again, won't you? Even sticking him in a totally unrelated subject?

Just... WOW!

No doubt the chimneys keep the home toasty warm...probably nowhere near the 72 degress the rest of us are supposedly warming with.

You've really lost your mind. I mean, I don't even understand what the hell you're saying here.

With a chimney comes a fire place that someone can use to burn wood... which means he DOESN'T need to burn oil or gas...

... so how does this prove he's not enviromentally concious again?

Quote from: CharlesMartel
Yes Yes...what was that Obama...bout these other nations just saying ok? Have they seen yer crib.....you f'n joke!

Do you know where Obama grew up?

YOU are the one who arrogantly brought up Perrins spelling accuracy.
I hoist you by your own petard and you cry ;   "Issues Issues... I just want to talk issues with a man "

I follow my president's example ...
