Obama should get credit for the votes given to uncommited in MI... Who says they're all his? Who says everyone that indeed supported him voted at all that day? ... or they should have worked out a revote by now. They tried that but couldn't afford it. Over a billion dollars will be spent on this election by the candidates alone... There is enough money to hold a revote... The democratic party should cover the cost, to ensure.. EVERY VOTE COUNTS! |

Ignoring Pathetic's attempts to muddy the waters, Clinton did an outstanding job in Kentucky. She has ran a very strong race. I hope she is able to see this Kentucky victory as a chance to leave on a high note.
Also, Congrats to Obama for winning the majority of the pledge delegates. He has shown he has what it takes to win in a general election. Many of the Super Delegates have said that they will not overturn the pledge delegates and so I see this as a small lull to give Hillary a chance to get everything together before June 3rd. After that, I believe that they will vote for Obama.
After this year I would not be surprised if the DNC decides to change its rules on Primaries, and I am glad to see that they are sticking to those rules now instead of changing them. If they went around changing the rules after the fact, then it would not bode well for whoever wins the Democratic Nomination.

Obama is coasting to victory in the primaries and is very lucky the DNC had decided to not count Fl and MI voters.
If Obama was confident in his victory he would demand those voters were seated! heh

As always you are entitled to your opinion, though looking at who he is running against in this GE, either of the Dem candidates could easily win in the GE. You think McCain is THAT weak? I agree both could win but I don't know that either can easily. |

Maybe the DNC should just follow the rules established before the primaries even began.
Next election they can have all primaries fall on the same date & avoid all of this nonsense. Of course, that's not going to happen, though.

I thought I heard somewhere that it'd cost like 10 million to hold a re-vote in MI. Even at double that I'd count that money well spent for Clinton. There's a lot of PR to be squeezed from personally re-enfranchising people.

inserting any additional stuffing between the popular vote and the office distorts voters' will. Some dudes are elected in such and such proportion to the number of voters, and in such and such geogrpahic limits with such and such representation in the final gathering electing the final candidates , and so forth...End result will sometimes inevitably be a win of the losers, i.e. those who lost popular vote somehow won the "real" vote. The absense of the electoral reform initiatives (dumping the electoral college, dumping the "superdelegates", even introducing proportional representation ) indicates intellectual and political stagnation of the US. There is a nearly common agreement that the electoral college is a fossil of the 18 century, but the malicious thing endures on the passivity of Americans. Unbelievable that the anti-gay ammendments seem to them more important than the basic long-overdue electoral reforms.

Billy is back in the mix and apperently out of the doghouse because they are desperate and begging for votes from Puerto Rico...thats right Puerto Rico...they must be desperate. He also accused the media and fellow democrats for telling Hilly to call it quits, he says they are disrespecting her. But on the flip side when he disrespected her at least he got a blow job out of it and started a war to cover up his investigation...yes put this couple back in the White House.

Obama has captured the zeitgeist. His message of domestic unity and of rapprochment with the international community is exactly what the nation has been looking for.
It's his misfortune to be running against an extraordinarily accompished opponent, Senator Clinton. The Democratic Party is blessed with two, rather than just one, exceptional candidates. The close race to date is a result of strength, not weakness.
Obama will receive the nomination, and will smoke Senator (let's have eight more years just like the last eight years) McCain in November.
