Yes, I think most people would say that "its all BS blantant (sic) BS at that" would be characterized as stating an opinion.

But anyway, back to Fox "News":

Here's a great example of the incredible sloppiness and unprofessionalism of Fox News, which actually ran a parody as a true story, so excited were they to get a story out there slamming Muslims: http://thinkprogress.org/2007/04/27/fox-parody/ You can actually watch the report yourselves.

Or, here's a great example of Bill O'Reilly making an totaly ass of himself and refusing to correct his mistake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sahBchNgnRc

I had to laugh out loud at the ham sandwich news story.  Fox is going a great job of becoming another Daily Show, but with less accurate information.

Fox & Friends isn't a 'news' show but rather a morning show. They should, however, strive for accuracy or they could go the way of Dan Rather.

They won't go the way of Dan Rather.  Dan Rather screwed up on a real news station, there is no forgiving that, it is his job to report facts, and get it right the first time.  Fox does not concern themselves with that.  You need not worry there.

You can make the effort to marginalize all you'd like but Fox has set the pace for cable news...period. There is no discussion on that fact.

Does it take a shamed anchor to be considered 'serious' a la CBS and the NYTs?

Of course they are going to admit it was a mistake.

I agree. Of course they are. They have principles. They are concerned with their reputation. As opposed to, say, Fox "News".
Or the Bush Administration.
Haha, if they were concerned about their image they would start booting out all of their PROVEN biased writers.

I don't know what it is today, but you and I are just not agreeing on much (which is normal) and you and I seem to be stuck sending each other 1-3 line responses (which is not).  Well, I don't marginalize Fox when it comes to rating, but when it comes to accuracy and obvious bias, you bet I do.  I also do the same for the NYT.  At least we can agree that the show on the FoxNEWS channel was really, really bad in the realm of accuracy.

ok you found a few stories thats were inaccurate, compare that to the millions of stories that were accurate. fox news is no more inaccurate then the other news stations. but you side stepped the point.

1st BS means lie or misinformation, not oppion but fact!

2nd nice job change the subject away from your sources sources at the bottom of that page.

Media matters lie...no surprise. CNN picks it up and runs with it? A little surprised.

I guess that's what you do when you are pathetically in second place.

Comparing the NYT to Fox is simply amazing. It was the NYT that broke the Whitewater story during the Clinton presidency, and kept it going with a series of front page follow-ups. It was NYT reporter Katharine Seelye who trashed Gore with lies about how he supposedly claimed to have discovered the the Love Canal disaster, and it the NYT that began the whole "Gore exaggerates" meme that was itself an exaggeration--or, to be more accurate, a lie.

Meanwhile the national media, the NYT included, gave pass after pass to Bush as he lied and lied and lied during the 2000 election.

To compare the NYT to Fox "News", the mouthpiece of the Republican National Party, just proves how utterly out of touch with reality you are.

Here's the story on how the national media, LEAD BY THE NYT, trashed Gore in 2000. The costs of that abdication of their responsibility will be visited upon Americans for the rest of our lives. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/10/gore200710?currentPage=7
