What is commonly referred to as "Bio-terrorism's 9/11" is the "Anthrax Scare" when Senator's Leahy and Daschle et al received letters with Anthrax spores refined to a remarkably precise level of weaponization - which almost defeated the purpose of the only plausible statement, by attacking Washington D.C. with an incredible level of sophisticated weaponized anthrax which no terrorist could easily get a hold of.

Federal investigation had concluded in 2001 whoever had done the attacks had an expert knowledge of forensics, a military background, access or an insider to production facilities for US weapons-grade Anthrax, and access without traceability to the highly controlled substance of Anthrax Vaccine.

Like-wise the terror attack was seemingly done to raise awareness of the dangers of Biowarfare, the need of a real Biodefense in the US, and came at a time when Bush strongly weakened the Biological Warfare Convention of 1972, and was designed in such a way as to prevent deaths by the attack...even warning the intended targets that they had come into contact with Anthrax and mentioned precisely what medical attention they needed and how fast.

I find it interesting that people often claim 9/11 was an "inside job" to try and get the US to do certain foreign engagements but these same conspiracy theorists overlook the greatly obvious fact that the Anthrax attack seems to have definitely been an inside job...

The problem is since Bush had nothing to gain from it (and actually had more to lose) who in the government was willing to go above and beyond civilian controls and decide to create a need for a type of defense by revealing how vulnerable the US is to a weapon?

It looks like that thread degenerated to a thread without facts, from people claiming you could steal Anthrax to people claiming it's Bush's inside job...clearly...and the FBI even has admitted this...the Anthrax attacks seem directed purely against the Government and its policies, from a government organization, and was not intended to cause death or even injury.

The AMES strain of Anthrax did more than lead gov't officials to Fort Detrick, it led directly to one person who was capable of producing that exact type of prepared Anthrax....someone guarded by a lot of "redaction".
