I have not seen one conservative attack him because he is black. I have seen HIM and other liberals attack McCain because he is old though... So ageism is ok I guess.... LOL, again I want Obama to win because I see a Obama presidency being the death of Liberalism. The problem is he has peaked so long ago and its all downhill

Has anyone seen the doll that has been for sale that depicts Obama as a monkey?
What about Rush Limbaugh's playing of that one particular song?
Let us not forget the "Baby Mama" reference on Fox News.
Really. I don't have to look to hard to already see racist attacks on Obama, so please quit feigning ignorance

The only surprise might be, if any one believed that Obama WON'T be attacked because he is black. Racism is alive and well in these here United States. To think otherwise ...or to pretend to think otherwise would be idiotic. The man is doing two things here he does well, he is facing the truth and dealing with it head on.

He'll be attacked for being black, but not overtly. It'll be a more subtle thing, like George HW Bush's Willie Horton ads.
It'll be ironic, too, since George W Bush benefitted greatly from a racist whisper-smear campaign against McCain in 2000. The rumor was that McCain had an illegitimate mixed-race child. In fact, the McCain's had adopted an Asian child. Racism hurt McCain in 2000. Will it help him or hurt him in 2008?
Racism in America. Always present. Rarely spoken of honestly.

And then there is Grover Norquist. Was this just a trial balloon? Or is it a beginning of the Rove tactics? Does anyone remember good ole Grover calling McCain a "nutjob" for Dubya a few years ago. Is he now an attack dog for McCain? Conservative Activist Grover Norquist: Obama Is "Kerry With A Tan" By Greg Sargent - June 27, 2008, 1:41PM Hmmm. Check out conservative activist Grover Norquist's less-than-tasteful description of Barack Obama: Norquist dropped by The Times' Washington bureau today and, as part of his negative critique of Obama's liberal stances on economic issues and other matters, he termed the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee "John Kerry with a tan." Guess it could have been worse. He could have termed the Illinois Senator "John Kerry in blackface." Such admirable restraint on Norquist's part! http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/06/conservative_activist_norquist.php

The thread should be called: Obama thinks he will be attacked because he is black AND muslim.......Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.
The campaign has apologized to the women, both Obama supporters who said they felt betrayed by their treatment at the rally.
For Obama, the old-fashioned image-making contrasts with his promise to transcend identity politics, and to embrace all elements of America.Source

Does being black increase the likelyhood you will die soon? Being old does. Thus, the fact that McCain is approaching the age of Methuselah DOES deserve concern.

I didn't know he was muslim.... I should have said...... "and feared to be Muslim"....I stand corrected. Does being black increase the likelyhood you will die soon? Soon er....... Being old does. You should really get over this "fear of death" thing.....Tim Russert went without warning at 58...Jim Fixx at 52 on a daily run...happens ALL the time....if age was the only precursor to death, then children would not die, eh?

Does being black increase the likelyhood you will die soon? Soon er....... Are you saying Obama's skin color is more unhealthy then McCain's old age? Like... are you really saying that? Being old does. You should really get over this "fear of death" thing.....Tim Russert went without warning at 58...Jim Fixx at 52 on a daily run...happens ALL the time....if age was the only precursor to death, then children would not die, eh? Alright, I get it, you like McCain... but don't play stupid, Patton. You're a doctor. You know better then ANYBODY that being old comes with a host of mental and physical dysfunctions.

Are you saying Obama's skin color is more unhealthy then McCain's old age?
Like... are you really saying that? Don't be coy.....you are a master with bending words to mean what you want...please read what you asked and what I replied: Does being black increase the likelyhood you will die soon? Soon er....... What does that mean to you? If you don't believe being a black male gives you a shorter life expectancy compared to others, then prove it. Alright, I get it, you like McCain... but don't play stupid, Patton.
You're a doctor. You know better then ANYBODY that being old comes with a host of mental and physical dysfunctions. A couple of things I would point out.....I like McCain better than Obama....doesn't mean I like everything about him. You're playing a statistics game, and like any game one plays with numbers, you can skew things to your liking all day long. The risk of significant heart disease being a middle-aged African-American male who smokes tobacco in a high stress environment isn't statistically nullified either....so what? And as smart as you are, you should know that being YOUNG, UNPROVEN and INEXPERIENCED comes with a host of political and foreign policy dysfunctions for those who would run for President.
