Georgia's invasion of South Ossetia has plenty of precedence. Has not Russia been brutally subdoing independence movements in Chechnya for the past decade? Georgia's territorial integrity has been compromised by blood thirsty Russian expansionists. Russia's brutal invasion would be similar to the U.S. sending a carrier task force to help liberate Chechnya. All forces should be withdrawn from the disputed territories and the U.N. should be forced to step in and help Georgia solve this strictly internal matter.
