McShame says the definition of rich is making over $5 million a year and he can't remember HOW MANY homes he owns??? I guess if you make only 3 million a year and own only three homes you are middle class in McElitist's eyes. No wonder this son of an Admiral, husband to the beer baroness of Arizona, modern day Marie Antoinette, thinks the economy is doing fine... why do they want bread? the cake is just fine ...and he had the balls to call Barack an elitist?... WTF? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12685.html http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/washingtondc/la-na-rich18-2008aug18,0,1063695.story John McElitist is seen here mixing with the common folk, middle class Dick Cheney who only cleared 3.4 million last year.(poor dear)

Unfortunately, McCain's attacks have apparently worked, and the race has tightened. As a result, the Obama campaign has felt compelled to respond with attacking McCain's inability to remember exactly how many homes he owns. So McCain has returned fire with this: tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/08/new_mccain_ad_its_obama_who_ha.php [paste into you browser] And what could have been a campaign about ideas and policy is now a campaign about bullshit. What a shame. Too bad McCain took the low road. Too bad Americans rewarded him for taking the low road. Now we all get to shake our heads at the mudfight and go "tsk, tsk, aren't they both just terrible?" On the other hand, this is kinda funny:

McCain understands the housing crisis the way Marie Antoinette understood the bread crisis.

Does anyone here seriously believe EITHER candidate has done an honest days work in the last 20 or so years?
They are BOTH elitist scum.
And campaigns about ideals? Come on JPN. McCain may have been the one to sling the first mud in his own name, he may not have, I can't say has I do not watch TV and ignore any thing of that nature of radio and internet. But you know as well as I that mud was going to be thrown, its a time honored and proven effective tactic.

Well 20 years ago that puts Obama in his 20's so I would say yes, I do seriously believe that at least one of them has done an honest days work in the last 20 years. BTW, it was McCain that started in on this whole elitist bullshit, so it is only right that he is the one suffering the blow back now.

Does having money make one 'elitist?'
It sure seemed so when the conversation was Kerry and Teresa Heinz.

WRONG WRONG WRONG Opmod They are NOT both elitist scum, only one was born to money, only one lived a privileged life whose daddy was an Admiral, only one married a beer gazillionare, only one has more houses than he can count... he is elitist scum. Barack came from humble beginnings and is a self made man. Did McCain pay off his own student loan? NO he didn't need one because daddy paid his way. You try to sound smart by saying "oh they are all the same " But they are not AT ALL the same and you come out looking stupid for saying that because you are soooooooooo compleatly wrong. This campaign is about ideals. McCains ideals are to cater to the wealthy and corporations Barack's ideals are to look out for the best interest of common Americans. I'm sorry but, Opmod you are absolutely wrong! What you have said here is simply not true! McCain has been slinging mud and slime and character assassination since the primaries. Barack has been trying to keep the higher moral ground by keeping to the issues but lately has had to fight fire with fire. The irony here is that McCain called Barack "elitist" and McCain promised early on that the campaign would not be "negative " from his side. What a liar! What scum!

No Neue its all about how they came by it. Elitists know nothing of the value of money as they haven't earned it and have never had to do without.

I've seen money change people...people who came from nothing. An 'elitist' is not defined by wealth. An 'elitist' is someone who sees themselves better than someone else BECAUSE of wealth.

Here we see GWB passing on the legacy of failure and elitism to John McAntoinette...cake anyone? Is Obama better than I ?? Ya know I hope he is ...in fact I know he is ...He is smarter ,more qualified, more organized, more giving. I also know that he is MUCH better than J Sydney McShame as a candidate and as a person. I know he has a much higher moral standard than mcshame and he will put the peoples well being ahead of the corperate profit margins. I know McSame isn't "good "enough to do that. There is nothing elite about Obama, this humble man from humble beginings who has not forgotten where he came from and what is important.
