Oh, now I understand. You consider it a compliment to call an Afro-American woman Aunt Jemima because your so fond of her pan cake mix?  Ever wonder how those you choose to joke with about their race might really think about you? I suspect behind your back they
make fun of you.  But, Cindy was the topic of the thread, any feelings about Johnny's choice of his emissary to Georgia? Figure she understands how many troops he's need even though he
has none and may never have any to run the Russians out of Georgia?

Some regularly enjoy poking fun of women who aren't combat ready or never served.  Now, the old warrior sends his spouse to Georgia.  Maybe it's really to assess the Georgian choice
of beer and open a new market?

Aunt Jemima is/was a very successful brand. It is the choice in my home. To be compared with that kind of success is certainly a compliment.

Hardly. They are some very close friends....friends who don't see color. Perhaps one day the rest of the country will get to that point. It seems like some people still get a little stuck in race.

But, Cindy was the topic of the thread

Your very first sentence to start if off...'While Michelle Obama prepared to speak, the beer heiress was off to Georgia.'

Perhaps it would be better to not bring her up if she's not to be discussed.

Cindy is a grown woman with enough money to cover the trip. Good on her for wanting to go. Do you have any evidence Senator McCain sent her?

I suppose. I've never seen anyone bring up women in the military so I'll take your word for it.

Now, the old warrior sends his spouse to Georgia.

Again, any evidence of that?

She seems a savvy enough business woman. That could well be it.

For those who may have missed Cindy's Bio piece before she took the stage:

Nicely done.

Well, it seems on the night McCain was to speak at the RNC, Obama was doing an interview with Bill O'reilly which he has been refusing to do for quite some time.  Cindy goes to Georgia on the night Michelle spoke.  It's all politics.  To think otherwise is plain foolish.

Cass is so worried about racial jokes but she doesn't stop to think about her remarks against women when she talks about McCain telling Cindy to flash her tits or to hide the drugs which I assume were both in jest.  Unless she only worries about people who think like she does.  I think we are all old enouh to handle some jokes around here.  Must everything be boxed into the red or blue arena?

Aunt Jemima?... I'm with Cass on that one, what were you thinking Neue?

Seriously though, I think they didn't hide the drugs well enough during Cindy's visit. Did you see her speech the other night? Talk about night of the living dead. Great comparison pics, FreeThinker.

I like Cindy, I would probably like her a lot better if she looked more natural like she did fifteen to twenty years ago in her biography the other night. Right now she looks like a 60-year-old Playboy bunny. Most of the things McCain's puppeteers are telling her to do seem like a throwback to the sixties. Her wardrobe and her mannerisms, I know they coached her, but it seems a bit difficult for her to do much of anything until she kicks the pills. Best of luck to her.
