I see this thread is full of dumbasses.......
I thought I'd better jump right in. You can't compare Rush and Moore. Moore is fat ugly lunatic fringe liar who has never had a real job. Rush is almost always on the right message, and he's inspirational because he came back strong from that issue with prescription drugs. I can't tell if he's joking. Please, someone tell me!

Um, isn't the point of the thread is that the people who are outgraged by only moveon or Limbaugh are the hypocrites?
JPN being one of the biggest on the board IMO. I have yet to see him post one thing critical about ANY dem,,,,,,ever that I can redcall. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Since my ears are burning, let me comment: I believe in free trade. I routinely criticize any politician (and bashing free trade is a favorite Democratic tactic when they are appealing to organized labor) who promotes "protections" from free trade. On the other hand, you have to admit that if you are somewhere on the other side of the political spectrum than I, you have had many, many more opportunities to diss your own side these past long seven years. After all, if you're a real conservative you'r almost obligated to bash Bush for slamming us with deficits again, which are really nothing more than taxes deferred to the next generation. And for misadventures abroad. And you can bash the Republican Congress for spending our treasure like madmen and women while providing zero oversight of the worst president in American history and for providing massive subsidy after massive subsidy to already rich industries like the banking, energy, and pharmaceutical industries while refusing to actually pay for those subsidies. No doubt about it, the right-wingers here have many, many, many more targets to shoot at on their side of the isle that do the left-wingers on theirs. I guess we'll just have to try harder...

Please be sure and let us know when the Democratic Congress passes a law that protects the profits of the pharmaceutical industry by preventing Medicare from bargaining down drug prices with them, like the Republicans did. And let us know when the Democratic Congress passes a law to make declaring bankruptcy harder for middle class Americans so that the fabulously profitable credit card industry can increase their profits another ten percent or so. And let us know when the Democratic Congress passes a huge tax cut mostly for the rich that busts our budget wide open.

You tell me when the Democratic Congress actually lives up to its promises of dismanteling the wiretaps and "Homeland Security", and NOT extend it.
Oh God, why do I bother.
Both parties couldn't find their own asses with a GPS, let alone their souls.

You got me there. Of course it would be futile until Bush is out of office. I guess if we want them reversed we'll have to be sure and vote in a Democrat in the White House.

Update on the original point of the thread. Remember, Limbaugh called soldiers who disagreed with our mission in Iraq "phoney soldiers." Now he's trying to "clarify" his remark: Limbaugh gets specific It didn't take too long for Rush Limbaugh and his allies to come up with a defense for the "phony soldiers" flap. While the transcript makes it rather clear that Limbaugh was referring to troops who oppose the president's Iraq policy, Limbaugh, the Weekly Standard, and others, have argued that the far-right blowhard was being literal. In other words, when Limbaugh trashed "phony soldiers," he was referring to actual frauds -- those who claimed to serve but didn't.
I think an honest reading of the transcript shows otherwise, but that's the defense and the right is sticking to it.
Indeed, Limbaugh parroted the line on the air yesterday, telling his critics, "I never said what you think I said." As part of his explanation about being literal, and not metaphorical, Limbaugh cited Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) as one of the veterans who deserves the "phony" label. That would be the same Murtha who earned the Bronze Star with Valor device, two Purple Hearts, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, and the Navy Distinguished Service Medal.
Got that? "Phony soldiers" was a literal reference to those who've lied about serving, a list which Limbaugh believes should include decorated war hero Jack Murtha.
Note to Limbaugh: quit while you're behind. You're cutting off your supporters at the knees and making yourself look even worse. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/054557.phpBy the way, I note that Republicans aren't falling all over themselves to rush to defend the honor and integrity of our soldiers like they did after MoveOn's dumb ad. Why is that?

What a tool.
Maybe if he didn't spend so much time talking trash he wouldn't have to make up silly excuses like this.
sometimes I wonder if people like him and OReilly watch and listen to tapes of themselves and just cringe at all the retarded statements they need spin for now.

So some soldiers are "phony" but others aren't?
Murtha actually FOUGHT a war, which is more than I can say for his icon, Bush.
How does anyone take this guy seriously any more?

Let's see.
The biggest 24/7 news channel is a right wing channel, radio is right wing, and most people who are young enough not to have already made up their mind don't read newspapers.
Now, what were you saying?
why are they the biggest CABLE news channel? cause they are the only right wing station. the radio is for music. you get some AM stations that pick up rush. most people listen to music on the radio. young enought to vote? they can read newspapers and do, as well as see all the garbage the moveon.orgs and so forth put on during their favriot prime time tv.

Most people 29 and under do not read the newspapers, and if they do, they don't read it for political news. Most people 30 and over already have their left/right ratios made up. The internet is where it's at, and anybody can choose what to read. Blame your right wing friends who talk about moveon.com all the time, giving them their popularity.
