Who Does McCain "Associate With"?

The McCain campaign has no policies to offer the public. Its numbers are plummeting. The economic crisis highlights the fact that McCain has no expertise or even interest in economics. He promises to be every bit as incompetent as Bush.

So. What to do? Slime your opponent. Trouble is, there isn't much to work with. So McCain has to create something out of next to nothing. So out of next to nothing comes the supposed Obama-Bill Ayres "connection." What does this "connection" amount to?

Embarrassingly little:

By the way, the Woods Fund of Chicago is a grantmaking foundation whose goal is to increase opportunities for less-advantaged people and communities in the metropolitan area, including the opportunity to shape decisions affecting them.

So, in order to meet McCain's "smell test" all Obama needs to do is basically be in the same zip code with someone who committed a crime when Obama was about 8 years old but has served his time and now works for the betterment of the local community.
Okay, now we know what the standard is.
Applying the same standards to McCain, what might we smell?

Know what? I'm WAY more comfortable with Obama's associations than McCain's.

On the surface this doesn't sound good for Obama and many voters will just view this from the surface. But once explained, it seems more of a case of coincidence then any real connection.

I've made a habit of watching FOXNews now, and it makes me laugh how many times they mention Bill Ayers or Acorn.

I mean, "Fox & Friends" leads me to drink... AT 7AM!!!!!!

What I find hysterical is you can't escape the fact that McCain is as close to Charles Keating and Rick Davis as Obama is to Bill Ayers. You can argue McCain is even closer... but you simply don't have to.

The fact that McCain has even associated with people like Davis and Keating - both of which are economic scammers - shows poor economic judgement in one of the worst crisis of the US economy.

And we're getting hung up over the fact that Obama and Ayers live in the same neighborhood (by the way, *I* don't know my neighbors) and that they were on an education panel?

GIVE ME A BREAK!

HArd to play the proportion game with something like this. But a million times? Worse than corruption among Senators? Costing the governemtn 3 billion? Really? I guess I would like to see ALL responsible parties held responsible. Not letting an elitist like McCain off the hook.

I wonder how ACORN compares to the routine attempts by the GOP to prevent legitimate voters from voting? How closely does Fox "News" cover those efforts?

Republicans laughably contend that they are merely trying to prevent "fraud," but it's pretty obvious that their efforts affect one segment of the population over others--to the detriment of the Democratic candidates.

By the way, I'm betting that the right-wing fixation on ACORN is the first step in convincing themselves that they didn't really lose the election due to their own incompetence and poor policy choices. Here is a corrolation that demonstates the association of McCain's polling and the S&P 500 ...as the economy falters ,so does Mccain's support.
