its about damn time -- turkey should just tell the world, it was in the past, we weren't part of the ruling power at the time -- and move on.

Instead they've discontinued diplomatic relations with the US and demanded that the US remove all it's military assets from Turkey at a time when it's in the national interests of the US to have them there.
Congress needlessly screwed the pooch on this one...

I don't care, to be honest. Its a shame that people were mass-killed, no matter what the country -- German, Turkey...those people who did that are long gone by now (especially in Turkey's case - WWI), so why deny history?
Coming from a country that passes laws forbidding its citizens to "bad mouth" it -- its no wonder the turkish-armenian who raised the public's awareness was murdered a year ago.
If anything, the only thing we have to gain is WWIII

Turkey should face the truth. Bravo for the resolution! OswaldTheOsprey Read this book Oswald. It is about how Ottoman Turks have been killed "BY ARMENIANS". It is written by an American historian. Truth is not just black and white.

Why now?
Why not scream at Rome for its cause of the diaspora and genocide? England for its causes both Opium Wars and Ireland? US with the American Indians? Lets not forget the Balkans
There is a time and place to discuss things. Why is congress so quick to attempt to isolate the presidency internationally?
The word principle and congress, by the way do not go together.
