well, just another example of how arrogant, selfcentered and ignorant some us citizens are. let me explain you: america is the WHOLE continent, its divided in: a) north america (which includes mexico, USA and canada b) central america c) south america. so all citizens of the american continent are americans. here in argentina we dont call you americans we call you "estadounidenses" which could be translated as "citizens of the united states"

No one can take you seriously if you idolize Che, especially if you are unable to adequately defend what you believe. We can only assume that you are following a foolish trend.

assume what you want, you are in your right. i wont try to defend adequately his life here because most people here already made up their mind about the che after decades of US propaganda. i dont idolize him. i respect what he did. i value that he fought always for the poor and against the powerful. and i just think that if you call him a murderer you have to do the same with all the world leaders of the history. all of them sent people to die. the last one is bush.

"America" is not one continent, the correct term is hemisphere. There are two continents, N America, and S America. Still, you would pick a guy who went to another country in an attempt to overthrow it's government? I read his journal from Bolivia. The thing that struck me about it was how he kept talking about how they need Bolivians in the campaign. IMO, without massive support already in Bolivia (the kind where he wouldn't feel it necessary to comment on needing actual citizens of the country to fight in the "revolution"), he had no business there in the first place. WTF? I thought it was a given that for a revolution, the people had to be in on it. I'm much more of a fan of a people's self determination than foreigners coming to violently impose their will on the country. I know I certainly wouldn't approve of foreigners coming here with the intent of overthrowing our government.

Aww man I missed out on all of the fun in this thread. All I have to say is that I produbly wear my Che shirt: I will say I got a few dirty looks on my college campus.... But that just makes the shirt more enjoyable.
