it's easy for person who knows a bit SQL,,, but little bit time consuming since phpBB has much tables and columns...

you run loop that reads(select) from from old tables and write(insert) to new ones,,, previously non existent tables or/and columns can receive default value or something like that,,, it's really silly and easy task better tell me how to create proper algorithm for stored procedure so i can imitate 1/100 of google's search internal crawler,,,,

but you not the right lad to ask such question coz i will end up with java that xss'es via backdoor mirror,,,

it is only easy if the person has a single-pane window, and you throw a rock at it...

I know this is an old topic but there is a converter to move from phpbb2 to SMF 1.1.  I did it and works fine and it is very easy. 

The converter is found here Clicky Linky.  Just scroll down and look for the phpbb2 converter. 

Although you'll probably not want to do it now since it would mimik the old database and you would lose all posts on the new forum.

I also see that you've bridged the database with Joomla.  I've heard that support for these bridges is going away.  If you need to move away from Joomla for whatever reason Tiny Portal for SMF actually works well as a CMS.
