Everyone who has seen this movie gives it glowing reviews, but I'm not one of them. Yes, it looked great, and yes, it was great, but I will never watch it a second time. The way the robots transformed was amazing. Some of the humor was great (although a little too mainstream for my taste). But overall I had trouble telling which robot was which robot except for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. And sometimes Megatron, but mostly I could pick him out. Anyway, after finally seeing it I would recommend it for a rental, but I just wasn't really attached to the storyline or any of the characters. And I really dislike Shia LaBeouf, he really seems like spoiled punk in real life.

Not really, because I wasn't a boy I suppose. I watched He-Man and She-ra, the smurfs and Jem!, but not G.I. Joe or Transformers.

It was actually a good movie, even though at first I thought it'd be crap.

But wasn't Megatron was a cannon/gun in the TV series?

How realistic would that be translated into a live-action movie?

Yes in the cartoon Mega-Tron was a Gun but also a spaceship looing thing and a big robot who was always depicted as larger than his toady/second in command/hopeful replacement Starscream but whenever he turned into his gun form it was always starscream who fired him and I always wondered,,,,howd he get small enough for someone smaller than his robot form to fire him?

I was disappointed with the ending. The ending SHOULD have been with a large spachip/robot crash laning in the desert whcih eventually became autobot headquarters and was also a robot who was damaged so much it could not transfor anymore.....

Ahh hell my geek is showing isn't it?

I just watched it with my 15 year old son last night.  When it was done, he turned to me and said 'Dad, I'm 15, and I'm getting to be about that age.  When you get me my first car, will you buy me a Transformer?'  Direct quote.

I was disappointed in that they depicted the AutoBots as kind weak.  If we humans hadn't been attacking Megatron, he would have kicked Optimus Primes butt.  Back in the day, Optimus gave as good as he got.  But the whole blade under the jaw he did was pretty awesome.  All in all I enjoyed the movie.  Right amount of humor, and action.  But whoever said it, you are right.  When they are fighting, it is tough to tell them apart.  I enjoyed it, but I am glad it wasn't my $15 that went to that DVD.

Loved Starscream flying through the air, knocking jets out of the sky and transforming back and forth in the process.

Thunder cats was always better.

Meagan Fox...welcome to Hollywood.  She was smoking in Transformers.

The special effects were fun.  That's about it.  I prefer the cartoons.
