I'm surprised this hasn't come up for discussion... http://sports.myway.com/news/09142007/v8085.htmlFOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - When he stands on an NFL sideline for 16 Sundays and a few more each year, Bill Belichick is an undisputed master, with a single-minded and cerebral approach that helped him win three Super Bowls during what might still be a Hall of Fame career.
It's everywhere else that he's had trouble.
The New England Patriots coach tried again Friday to move on from the sideline spying scandal in which he was fined $500,000 and ordered to forfeit a top draft choice - the latest misstep in a year of distractions for the coach who preaches about avoiding them. And now the Eagles want to get in? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3017964PHILADELPHIA -- Sheldon Brown and the Eagles hoped a blitz would rattle Tom Brady.
One problem: Every time the Eagles rushed Brady in the Super Bowl, the Patriots nullified the defensive attack with screen passes. Lots of them. On almost every play defensive coordinator Jim Johnson called for a blitz, the Patriots used the short pass to confuse the Eagles.
After the Patriots beat the Eagles 24-21 in 2005 to win the Lombardi Trophy, Brown thought the Patriots beat them with nothing but sharp offensive playcalling. Now, he's not so sure.
With spying accusations leveled this week against the Patriots, some of the Eagles left from the NFC title team are wondering if New England used bootleg film to their advantage in the Super Bowl. As an Eagles fan (I plan on watching more games this season) I'm wondering if anyone thinks they have a legitimate claim. Just curious. Trying to get this forum rolling .

Freaking Eagles. Did cheating lead to McNabb throwing up in the huddle?

That would be a VERY long thread... and might get complicated once all the other posters start contributing. Freaking Eagles. Did cheating lead to McNabb throwing up in the huddle?
I hadn't actually heard that.

Here's the deal with the Pats in the Super Bowl.
Every SB they dominated in the first half, and almost blew it in the second half. Now, if they were videotaping signals to make halftime adjustments, they would be better in the second half. It doesn't make any sense.
BTW, it's fitting that Mangini was in an episode of the Sopranos. His ratting should lead to him being whacked.

Yeah I noticed no one brought that up yet. You should make that thread a sticky too.

I always wondered about the old 'calling a time out right before the opposing kicker kicks' strategy, wondered if it worked. Well ity did today. Cost the most hated raiders a game. Yay!

Not that I want to pimp my site, but I posted a Sunday recap (minus tonight's game). Read it if you like heavy metal.

Well the Pats are making up for anything by beating San Diego 31-7.

If that's what it will come down to, then I got bets on the Cowboys.
