http://gmail.com - Email sucks no matter what, but this is the best web-based client.

I should know this, but is the RSS feeds and how do they work?

We room for them in my university profile, but I'm not sure how and why to put them there...any help?

Think of it as a magazine subscription to a site...basically it's like a news feed, you get new entries at the top of the list.
