Maditory vaccination for a non-contagious disease sounds a little weird. Since when are "all" vaccines manditory?
It protects against HPV (Human Papillomavirus) which is related to cervical cancer. There's a new commercial running right now that talks about how all cervical cancer is caused by HPV and to go see your doctor (though I don't think they mention a vaccine). Must be a recent discovery, but a good one, nonetheless.

There's a new commercial running right now that talks about how all cervical cancer is caused by HPV and to go see your doctor (though I don't think they mention a vaccine). Must be a recent discovery, but a good one, nonetheless. They've ran a lot of commericals about "Gardasil" lately. That's what I mean, it's fairly new (1-2 years), so they're trying to make people aware of it. It's meant to be given to girls between the ages of, something like, 12 and 22. The reason my daughter and myself, and a lot of other people are questioning it is because back in the 50's and 60's they gave women that were pregnant and having morning sickness a drug called "DES" (it supposedly helped with morning sickness) ... Well, like 20 years later (or sooner) they found that the female babies that were in the womb of the mother-to-be whom was taking the "DES" had a higher incident of cervical cancer when the female reached a young age (teens and early 20's). They finally linked all these cases to the mother taking "DES" while pregnant. I know all this for fact, because I, myself, had pre-cervical-cancer at the age of 19..... And one of the first questions my doctor ask me is if my mom took "DES" while she was pregnant with me (1966-1967), and he explained it all to me. Since my mom had already died, I had to request my mom's medical records from 19 years earlier, and sure enough, she had taken "DES" while pregnant with me. Luckily they caught mine pre-cancer early enough, and I'm happy to say I've had no problems since (I'm now 40). BTW, my sister also had pre-cervical-cancer at a young age, and my mom took "DES" while pregnant with her too. Anyway, it's really a scarey thing taking any medicines and vaccines, because it seems that a lot of them later are found to have serious side effects. Risinghigh

Your telling me! I just looked it up ... it's called Gardasil. It protects against HPV (Human Papillomavirus) which is related to cervical cancer. Mandatory though .... NUTS!!! I heard that they were talking about making it a part of the mandatory shots that all girls (people) have to get. They stated that they would likely require it when the girls reach the age of 12. Risinghigh Whoa, buddy, before you call it nuts. Governor D-CK Perry has mandated that it be included in the list of vaccinations for girls as young as 11. It is not mandidatory, but to refuse, you must request a form from the state and have it signed and notorized, and you must fall within certain criteria, and labeled by that criteria, to do avoid the injection being given to your child. There is a legislative moratorium on that mandate, but the moratorium will end eventually. You can bet on that. Also, they want to start giving it to boys, because they can be carriers, even if they, themselves, cannot get the cancer. All at a cost to parents or the states residence of about $1000 per child, over the 3 dose course. FreeinTX

I guess it kind of makes sense though .... I mean, I guess they can be carriers. Kind of like Herpes....some people carry it but don't show signs of actually having it, but they do/can spread it to others. Now that I think about it, I guess a lot of diseases are like that though, including HIV. It's still a big decision to make though!!....Because of possible side effects, including those side effects that are found 20 years down the line. Risinghigh

The sane answer to this, is not to shun vaccination (medical ludditism is a good description here), but to advocate development of better vaccines, and less harmful preservatives for those vaccines. It would be the best option. But in real world vaccines bring almost no profit per dose, while production of antibodies, antibiotics and antiviral drugs is a lucrative business. Not to mention that these drugs have even more side effects. That's very true, it's saddening how sickness and economics interact. Still, and I think very few would disagree here, I'll take the monkey blood over the polio any day. The point is that you can go without the monkey blood and still not get the polio. Or more specfically, you can go without the monkey blood, the mercury, the lead, the formadahyde, (and to go further beyond topic) the benzene, the fluride, the aspertame and other phykenloids (sp?), the corn syrup and corn oil, the saccrine, the splenda, and still AVOID getting some of these things altogether. Then, instead of living the life of an 60 year old Alzheimers patient, you can have an active 60 year old life with mental faculty, like your great grandparents did. And for your children, instead of giving them things that the FDA, OSHA, the EPA, and every other organization in the world that regulates substances, calls toxins, carcinogens, cancer causing agents, heavy metals, and environmental hazards, they can catch a flu every once and a while, but be able to concentrate in class, and NOT have the need to slam their head into a wall over and over again as a result of diseases like ADD, ADHD, autism, and other known, but unexplained, neuro-chemical disorders that are EXPOLDING on to the scene. Yea, yea, yea, yea, people a long time ago died because they didn't have thes vaccines. But guess what people, this is the 21ST CENTURY, we have stuff that would prevent a pneumonia patient from dying that we just didn't have 100 years ago. That MASSIVE escilation in "unexplained" illnesses far outweight the potential for outbreak of old time diseases in a medical 21 century. Just like this Bird Flu (which is a swine flu, btw) scare. You people compare it to a pandemic over 150 years ago, as if, medicine has been standing still for 150 years. If a flu breaks out only the sickest and youngest are at serious risk according to them, the rest of you are just looking to avoid getting the inconvienient flu. And the hospitals have come a long way in protecting people from the death of the flu. Every year, you go out and get a flu shot, and shove mercury (and todays thymerosol has 5 times MORE mercury than it did only 10 years ago.) into your blood stream, along with all kinds of incredibly nasty stuff, used as preservatives and agents in the making of the vaccine, and just because you don't drop dead right there on the sight, statistics indicate that they are safe. And, "FDA studies show no link," my butt. How long did it take the FDA to determine that smoking cigarettes that contained over 500 different types of known carcinogens, definitely caused cancer? Have they yet? They are still legal. The cigarette comapnies can still put every single one of those known carcinogens in the cigarette. Use flavors, and tricks to make the smoke more "mild" so idiots can inhale deeper and for longer periods of time increasing the damage AND addiction. As for the RNA and DNA of animals being injected into children at or near birth. Not only is this untested. Or it better be untested. Sick -ss idea of injecting babies with animal blood to see what happens is repugnnt, so these things are untested on humans, except when gathering statistics after the injections. But not obnly is this untested, our 21st CENTURY medicine is beginning to realize that RNA injected into the blood stream has the potential to change our own DNA structure. Let's not even mention, well, okay let's mention, the process of obtaining animal blood for the making of vaccines. First, we are not all that protective of our human blood supply. Google infections from transfusions and read all about the mistakes being made in that little area of science. So to imagine the srtingent methods are being utilized to ensure that none of the blood contains anything potentially dangerous would be silly. Not to mention anything that these animals may have that we don't understand or won't understand until the 22nd CENTURY. Where did AIDS come from? Remember hearing about a male flight attendant and sex with monkeys? Where do you think AIDS came from? Maybe it did start of with the Rhesis Monkey. Maybe it was in a polio shot. Maybe the RNA of a sick money infused the DNA of a recipient of polio. Would you take AIDS over polio? Is that a choice that had to be made? Was the patient given the choice? And what did happen to the bill that Kennedy Jr. called for that would have banned the use of thimerosol by the people I claim are bent on destroying your mind and free will? Bush Set to Veto HHS-Labor-Education Appropriations Bill Due to Provision to Remove Mercury From Infant Vaccines http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/07-19-2007/0004628856&EDATE=WASHINGTON, July 18/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- According to the Congressional Quarterly, the White House stated on Tuesday that President Bush would veto the HHS-Labor-Education Appropriations Bill because of the cost and "objectionable provisions" such as a measure to ban the use of childhood flu vaccines that contain thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative.

Since 1990, between 12,000 and 14,000 reports of hospitalizations, injuries and deaths Spanish Flu: 1918–1919 - 500,000 dead in the US Asian Flu: 1957–58 - 70,000 dead in the US Hong Kong Flu: 1968–69 - 34,000 dead in the US This is all from influenza. Want to see what happens with small-pox? Again, compared to pandemic disease outbreak, vaccination is preferable. I agree with this. Actually, I think most common sense people would. I am certainly open to listening about harmful effects of some vaccines, and IMO the medical profession should be always looking to improve vaccines and monitoring any side effects. Don't think it is advisable to ever abandon vaccines though. We have saved so many lives because of medical breakthroughs and new medicines. Not sure we want to go back to the prehistoric days. No one calls for electricity to be banned because a small percentage of people die from electric shocks. No one calls for motor vehicles to be banned because of the level of road accidents per year. Some common sense is always a good thing. Unfortunately, sometimes I get the impression, it is not very common. Okay, let's get some clarity here. NOONE here wants to ban all vaccines. NOONE!!! Yes, vaccines have saved so many lives, but the point of the thread is that vaccines have HORRIBLY AFFECTED some many lives as well. And instead of addressing the horrible consequences of a massive, population wide, vaccination of our citizens, on a regular and routine basis, these people simply prefer to ignore the real pandemics developing in our country. One they can no longer ingnore. most recently, has been MSRA, right? The infection developed from resistance to overdosing our population on anti-biotics? See these connections? AIDS now being reported to have stared by monkey butchers who got it from the Rhesis monkey, when they where butchering, and brought it home to their wives. The very same species of monkey used in our polio vaccine. Is it possible that a little mokey blood in a polio vaccine was the cause of the outbreak? I mean people have caught AIDS from human transfusions and hyuman blood banks, isn't it possible that the scientific community missed the AIDS virus before AIDS had ever been discovered? And, of course, the massive onslaught of mental disorders developing amounst our children, and elderly. "Unexplained," according to the scientists who push vaccines on the people. Sure, some vaccines have proven effective, but other have not. Even amoung the "effective" ones, do they need to contain these poisons? Is mercury a required ingredient for the flu shot? A little formaldahyde to keep it fresh? They can't find anything better? For over 40 years, nothing better? 'Common. Someone mentioned that the doctors in the video I posted are nature-paths. So. Wouldn't you be if your studies tended to indicate that the FDA, and the scientific and medical community was turning a blind eye to what is going on in the world of vaccinations? And not just that. Insuline, "the silent killer," Joyce Riley. Chemotherapy, "really expensive rat poison." On and on with the list of incredibly expensive drugs designed to keep you sick but alive. With amazing emphasis on drugs that force you or require you to take other drugs in combo. I listened to "Dr." Sanja Gooptah tell you the best way to avoid MSRA was for YOU to ensure they used clean cathaders in the hospital while if you needed one. And don't forget, the FDA let 150,000 people die, taking VIOX, a drug they knew would kill people, for months before they pulled it. And it took years to link cigarettes to cancer, but you can still buy a cigarette laced with all sort of crap to make you sick, to give you cancer, and to make you even more addicted, and therefore, harder to quit. What if I told you there is something known to cause 225,000 deaths per year...would you want to ban it? Want to ban hospitals? The report apparently shows there are 2,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery; 7000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals; 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals; 80,000 deaths/year from infections in hospitals; 106,000 deaths/year from non-error, adverse effects of medications - these total up to 225,000 deaths per year in the US from iatrogenic causes which ranks these deaths as the # 3 killer. Iatrogenic is a term used when a patient dies as a direct result of treatments by a physician, whether it is from misdiagnosis of the ailment or from adverse drug reactions used to treat the illness. (drug reactions are the most common cause). LINK EVERYTHING in medicine comes down to risk-vs-benefit. 2,000 from unnecessary surgey, Has anyting been done to help fix that? 7,000 from medication errors, Has anything been done to minimize medication errors? 20,000 from other medical errors, Has anything been done to minimize other medical erros? 80,000 from infections in the hospital, Is anything being done RIGHT NOW to minimize that? 106,000 from .... Has anything been done to minimize dying from natural causes? The answer to ALL of these questions is YES, resoundingly, "YES." However, when a bill to ban thimeosol from vaccines in introduced and passed in the House and Senate, Bush veto's it. Is anything being done to MINIMZE the adverse affects of routinely and regularly vaccinating the entire population of this country with a whole host of variuous vaccines, regardless of the actual need for the vaccine? Yea? What? FreeinTX

If too many people refuse to get vaccinated, then they are threatening herd immunity. They should also be cut off from using public school resources, as they are deliberately putting the social investment in future human capital at an unnecessary risk.
No, they are not. If you want to protect your child by giving them a vaccine, then do it, and you have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FEAR from a child who may have the disease, right? If your kid is vaccinated, he/she has nothing to worry about right? And there is NO SUCH THING as, "future human capital." Do you have any clue whatsoever, as to what it means to be free and have INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGTY. This is NOT a commune, this is America where the federal government, or any govrnment for that matter, has no power or authority to mandate mandatory vaccinations. They may do it, but they have no right to do it. FreeinTX

Try to find some real numbers, go ahead. You support vaccines, yet you have no clue as to how many children have been harmed by them in recent years. The numbers are not easy to find and when you do find them, you learn that only 10%, or less, of all adverse reactions to vaccines get reported. So, since you strongly support vaccine policy, show me some numbers. ...........or do you need me to look it up for you? ?? Please show me where I said I STRONGLY support the vaccination policy? Gee, I even remember saying I am generally against the government telling us what to do. Not that I am entirely convinced of all of the benefits, I do tend to think the good out weighs the bad. I haven't had the time to search the internet for long sound bites that support my particular position however.
I am in general not a fan of government forcing us to do anything. But once your decision to not vaccinate affects MY child, we have a problem. Do you think we should do away with ALL vaccines?
Oh wait, here is my actual post now. And lookey, it DOES say I am not a fan of govt coercion. And what does it say about vaccines? It says I am not entirely convinced of the benefits. So THAT is strongly support in your little world? Either you are a fool that has sever reading comprehension problems, or, you, what is the term I am looking for here, oh yeah, you lied. As to me proving YOUR points for you by finding your numbers, stop being an asshat. Do your own work. Sorry, I just got my panties in a twist when you call me a fear mongerer. We have a thread, 7 pages long on vaccines and yet not one person on this thread seems to have any idea how many children have died from vaccines. What is worse, it seems few people have done any significant reading on the subject at all. The HPV vaccine was brought up, which is a very hot topic in some communities and states right now, but not a whole lot of other info, except for what I posted. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that at least one poster here looked for the stats on children harmed from vaccines, but he was unable to find them. The reason is because the "establishment" doesn't want us to know the statistics. Besides the "establishment" not wanting us to know these numbers, we also have a huge problem in proving that any injuy was actually caused by the vaccine. Few Medical Examiners are willing to say that a vaccine caused the death of a child. So, how do we find numbers for deaths caused by vaccines? The only way I have been able to do this is by looking for th numbers of claims paid by the government to families who have had a child die and blamed it on a vaccine. I will post some of what I have found...... Three deaths were related to the vaccine. One physician’s assistant reported that a female patient “died of a blood clot three hours after getting the Gardasil vaccine.” Two other reports, on girls 12 and 19, reported deaths relating to heart problems and/or blood clotting.“The FDA adverse event reports on the HPV vaccine read like a catalog of horrors,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.....Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormities.[May 2007] Judicial Watch Uncovers Three Deaths Relating to HPV Vaccine rom the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, obtained by Gannett News Service using the Freedom of Information Act as part of a four-month study of federal immunization policy, reveal: Of 253 infant death cases awarded more than $61 million by the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in the 1990s under the compensation program, 224, or 86 percent, were attributed to vaccination with DTP, the diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) shot. In these cases, mortality was originally attributed to SIDS in 90, or 40 percent, of them. Of 771 total claims filed by parents from 1990 through mid-1998, 660, or 86 percent, contained assertions that DTP was the cause of death. And 43 percent were classified by medical authorities at time of death as SIDS cases."--NVIC http://www.909shot.com"AT LEAST 26 families claim their children died as a result of the controversial measles, mumps and rubella jab, the Sunday Express can reveal. In some cases the Government has awarded parents up to £100,000 under its 1979 Vaccine Damage Payment Act. In others, post mortem reports concluded the jab was the most likely cause of death. Despite this, the Department of Health insists no child has ever died from MMR."--Media "The Government was last night accused of a cover-up over the safety of its mass meningitis immunisation programme after The Observer obtained confidential documents that show at least 11 people have died after injections to prevent the disease."--Media Aug 2000 "In a year-long investigation of the Vaccine Adverse Reaction Reporting System (VAERS) operated by the Food and Drug Administration, NVIC/DPT analyzed VAERS computer discs used by the FDA to store data on reports of deaths and injuries following DPT vaccination. A total of 54,072 reports of adverse events following vaccination were listed in a 39-month period from July 1990 to November 1993 with 12,504 reports being associated with DPT vaccine, including 471 deaths."Campaign Against Fraudulent Medical Research (CAFMR) "From July 1990 thro' April 1994, 5799 ADRs following MMR vaccination were reported to US Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS); including 3063 cases requiring emergency medical treatment, 616 hospitalisations, 309 who did not recover, 54 children left disabled and 30 deaths."--- John P Heptonstall "Since July 1990, 17,497 cases of hospitalizations, injuries and deaths in America following hepatitis B vaccination have been reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) of the U.S. government. This figure includes 146 deaths in individuals after receiving only hepatitis B vaccine without any other vaccines, including 73 deaths in children under 14 years old. In 1996 alone there were 872 serious adverse events in children under 14 years old reported to VAERS. 658 of those injuries were following hepatitis B vaccination in combination with other vaccinations and 214 of these injuries were after hepatitis B vaccination alone. In these children under 14 years old, there were 35 deaths after hepatitis B vaccination in combination and 13 deaths after hepatitis B vaccination alone, for a total of 48 deaths. Compare these statistics with the total number of hepatitis B cases nationwide reported that same year (1996) in children under 14, just 279, and the conclusion is obvious that the risks of hepatitis B vaccination far outweigh its benefits."---Incao's Hepatitis B Vaccination Testimony http://www.whale.to/m/quotes16.html Officially, as compensated by the NVICP over 100 children are killed every year by vaccines in the USA. VAERS reports list over 300 from just 4 vaccines, bearing in mind only 1-5% of vaccine reactions are reported (see). Another revealing statistic is the USA Infant death rate. Bear in mind the government says vaccines such as MMR are safe (see). http://www.whale.to/vaccines/deaths.html

If only one person died a year from vaccines, would the statistics matter if it was your son, or daughter who died?
Some good old fashioned fear monger. Excellent. A look, or a delve into what is causing diseases that the FDA, the CDC, the WHO, and other medical agencies claim are as of yet, "unexplained," is NOT fearmongering, More and more, links are being developed between chemical substances in our vaccines, our medicines, our food supply, and our drinking water, and sicknesses and diseases like autism, althimers, ADD, ADHD, COPD, "restless leg," and many other neuro- based sicknesses. The links, in my opinion, are easily explained by the fact that groups like the EPA, the FDA, OSHA, and other enviromental agencies, call these substances, "neuro-toxins," or "carcinogens," but are left in our vaccines, or medicine, our food, and our water, because it costs too much to change. Energy companies make money on saccrine, aspertame, fluride, you want them to strat paying instead of profitting? Why? Because the crap they put in our food is actually killing us? Nonesense, right? But the discussion if putting a stop to all of this is "fearmongering?" I think not. I think it is common sense. FreeinTX

Regarding "Gardasil" there have been some major adverse reactions to this vaccine. According to the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) there have been over 887 symptoms identified after the vaccine was administered. These range from a rash and fever to more serious neuroloigcal symptoms, including convulsions, paralysis and sensory disturbances, and also cardiac events, which include "Major Cardiac Events".
I wish I could insert the links to these sites, but my computer is having some major malfunctions when it comes it inserting links. So, just check out these websites for yourself (google): (They're very informative)

O.K., I was making a point, one which I would hope would make people think. The government pays out claims to 100 families a year for vaccine related death. This DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL THE CHILDREN WHO ARE PERMANENTLY HAMRED BY VACCINES. Dan Burton did not have a grandchild die, as you assumed. He has two grandchildren and both had adverse reactions to their vaccines, resulting in permanent harm to one of them. Ever read any of the hearings Congress conducted on vaccines? No, obviously you haven't. Did you even bother to read any of the information I posted, or check the links? I seriously doubt it. If you do not care about learning anything regarding this topic, then why even bother posting on this thread?
