Found this pretty funny

Quote
Ohio State: Hillary Clinton The Buckeyes don't make waves. They go out of their way not to be controversial, including not scheduling anyone this season who could beat them. They hope to bland their way to the nomination.

LSU: Rudy Giuliani The Tigers are strong on defense, and their fans aggressively promote their qualifications. They gloss over their past missteps, hoping everyone focuses on their willingness to take on anybody.

Oregon: John Edwards A good-looking team with an engaging personality, but the Ducks' stance on defensive issues is wanting. Do they have the substance to go all the way?

Oklahoma: Barack Obama Here's a team that looks like BCS material, and it has all the resources in the world. But its potential continues to outweigh its performance. Maybe the next race?

Kansas: Mike Huckabee A plucky candidate that can't get anyone to pay attention, the Jayhawks keep hanging around, charming people and slowly moving their way up the polls.

West Virginia: Mitt Romney The Mountaineers have great numbers and a wide-open attack, but they have done nothing to assure the voters they have the gravitas to make it to the top.

USC: Fred Thompson The Trojans get a bump from their Hollywood connection, but once they got on the stump, they looked nothing at all like a BCS candidate.

Hawaii: Ron Paul No matter how the Warriors perform, no matter how much support they drum up among the public, the opinion-makers never will take them seriously.

I wonder if people will take us seriously now. I mean, we just put up 76 freaking points. At one point, we scored 10 touchdowns in 10 straight possessions (not counting a kneel down to end the half). They were chanting "Rock Chalk" midway through the 2nd quarter.

I don't know.

I will get to see them for the first time against OSU this weekend.

So far, I have not been impressed with their schedule.

09/01/07 vs. Central Michigan  W, 52-7
09/08/07 vs. SE Louisiana W, 62-0
09/15/07 vs. Toledo W, 45-13
09/22/07 vs. Florida International  W, 55-3
10/06/07 at Kansas State   W, 30-24
10/13/07 vs. Baylor W, 58-10
10/20/07 at Colorado   W, 19-14
10/27/07 at  Texas A&M W, 19-11
11/03/07 vs. Nebraska W, 76-39
11/10/07 at Oklahoma State  Stillwater, Okla. 7:00 p.m. CT
11/17/07 vs. Iowa State  TBA
11/24/07 vs. Missouri   TBA
12/01/07 Big 12 Championship TBA TBA

The only teams remotely being of consequence were won by a touchdown or less.

The true tests are yet to come, and after Texas...the Cowboys are looking for blood....and Mizzou is no push-over.

Their SOS is one below Ohio State and like 10 below Oklahoma. Weak argument.

Whose SOS are you using?

What powerhouses have they faced so far?

I'll see if I can find the website. This year, with no real powerhouses, SOS is basically obsolete.

If LSU makes it to the BCS Championship in New Orleans, it gives them at least 12 points home field advantage.
As a former resident of Louisiana, I can tell you that LSU fans are among the most obnoxious in the nation. By gametime, pretty much any visiting team's fan base will be bloodied, heckled, cursed, shouted down, and generally demoralized.

LSU fans suck

Still not really impressed....

OSU was in it the first half...only trailed by 6... then the injury to Bowman, which helped the KU defense tremendously...33-28 in the 4th quarter without a star receiver or linebacker...not bad.

We'll see how they do with healthy teams that have depth at every position.

Congrats at 10-0...Good Luck with Mizzou...and I look forward to San Antonio.

If you're undefeated in a major conference (Big 10, Big 12, SEC, Pac 10, ACC, Big East) you should be #1.  With OSU's loss last Saturday, KU should be the #1 team in the nation.

I agree somewhat that they will meet the first real test with Missouri (Nebraska is in a free-fall...) and the Big 12 Championship game.  But if KU wins out, they should be going to the national championship game, hands down -- no matter what LSU and Oregon do.
