This is good for the conference.

For the sixth time in the last seven seasons the Big 12 Conference sends eight teams to postseason bowls. This also marks the fourth time the Conference will have two teams playing in BCS games.

Can any other conference make a similar statement?

To those unfamiliar with Oklahoma Sooner Football a few items:

This was our 113th season.

Record since WWII (1946-) 535-162-13 (.762) - No. 1 in Nation

Record since AP Poll (1936-) 592-191-22 (.749) - No. 1 in Nation

Most Consecutive Wins   47, 1953-1957  (NCAA Record)

All-Time Points Scored   29,745  (No. 1 in Nation)

11+ Win Seasons     18 - No. 1 in Nation (Last in 2007)

10+ Win Seasons     30 - No. 1 in Nation (Last in 2007)

National Championships 7  (2000, 1985, 1975, 1974, 1956, 1955, 1950)

Conference Titles     41 (Last in 2007)

Big 12 Conference Titles  5   (2007, 2006, 2004, 2002, 2000)

True enough. However, don't forget the SEC-only two of twelve teams (Ole Miss and Vandy) were not bowl eligible. LSU is still in the national title hunt.
